Clean, warm-best beach I have ever been to. Husband went swimming several time a day and I was able to actually go in the water.

When traveling to Jamaica, visit the West End Cliffs. It offers awesome rock jumping and snorkeling.

Our hotel offered shuttles to the island for $20 per person so we decided to head over one afternoon as a mini excursion. We were dropped off and as soon as we arrived on the island, we were offered lobster. Having never had it before, we decided to share one, which was $40. It was picked straight from the sea and tasted incredible. There were a few locals selling other things too, including red stripe for $5 a bottle and fruit. We asked for some coconut water and ended up with $30 worth of mango, pineapple and coconut as the guy wouldn’t take no for an answer. Make sure you take lots of cash as it’s quite expensive, but worth a visit for an hour or two.

Note there are no toilet facilities and the sand is very pebbly so no real option to sunbathe, but there are picnic benches

Booked trip direct with Barney. Pick up from hotel in Negril and visit. Just the 2 of us in garden. Amazing to see what he has made himself over the years. Beautiful flowers. Amazing experience to see the hummingbirds in their own habitat. Absolutely gorgeous birds. Amazing to be able to feed them. Barney was a lovely man. Spent a lovely hour exploring his garden.

I visited YS Falls with my husband and our 4 year old. It was a 2 hour drive from our hotel, but so worthwhile. You arrive at the 'base' and from their its a 10 min jitney ride up to the falls. From there, a guide will take you through the main few falls, and take plenty of pics on your phone. Our guide took great care with our kid, carrying her across the 'rushiest' flows. Its absolutely beautiful and the cold water is so refreshing. You can also do the rope swing or zip line if you like. Definitely bring water shoes and plenty of mosquito repellent!
There is a pretty swimming pool area with seating, gardens, picnic tables and a bar/restaurant which is a lovely place to kill some time. Definitely worth a visit, although I probably wouldn't attempt the falls themselves with very young toddlers or nervous kids, but the pool area is great for all.

I am not a church goer but have been to Negril several times with people in recovery and joined them at the AA/12-step meeting at this church. Its a great meeting and way to meet non-drinking, non-partying locals and visitors,

This one of only two lighthouses on the island that is Jamaica. It's a functioning lighthouse and looks interesting as can be, however, at this time, there are no tours ot access to the lighthouse itself. There are great views from the sea, and you can walk on the street in front.

Visited here a couple of times during our stay in Negril. It's only really just kind of reopening & not all shops have done so but there's more then enough to make the trip worthwhile.

Majority of shops are of the same theme selling souvenirs of sorts, clothing, towels & a multitude of Jamaican featured odds and ends. Also there is a jewellery shop. Had the standard temperature check and compulsory hand sanatiser experience before entering the mall.

One particular shop that stood out was one called 'Caribanas' It's ran by a very friendly lady called Chrisma and her husband. We found the whole experience very easy with a no pressure approach (which wasn't our experience beforehand) No need to haggle down from hyperinflated prices as Chrisma gave everyone the best price first. Whilst we were in there the first time a couple had returned back to the shop because of the service they had received last year so the shop must be doing something right.

Chrisma even allowed and helped us take some photos of various themed clothing so we could send them back home to help solve a dilemma, Lol

I'm sure all the shops in the mall will be as friendly as 'Caribanas' but that shop is definitely worth a visit.

I won't say much about the anything else because everyone who visits know why they're there. We miss you Peter, and babylon need fi legalize the herb and stop act like dem nuh know. Thanks to Peter's cousin for the boom draw he gave us to take back to town. :) Yes iya! Totally enjoyed this trip.

Just $150 JMD to enter this beach. It’s a very nice, clean and beautiful beach. The water is so warm on your skin. There are changing rooms and wash off area so you don’t have to leave sandy or salty.

No, I was not prepared. Epic failure at climbing after only an hour. The mountain was so beautiful, this has got to be heaven here on earth. Highly recommended for the fit and the strong!

Half Moon Bay is a deluxe resort spread out widely over many acres. There is ample space for all including families with young kids, couples on a romantic retreat and friends gathering. There a choices in where you might want to stay as well as meals plans and more. I recommend the villas. They come in 5,6 and 7 bedroom options and each is slightly different but also similar. They each come with their own household staff which over the visit ends up being more like family. *Insider Tip, if you want to explore other villas you can request the same staff to travel with you * If you are going for the first time and want a recommendation, ask for Marcia, Jennifer and Cecil. This team not only does their job but they go above and beyond to ensure your needs are met but your family is happy, taken care of and the vacation you deserve is delivered. Ms. Jennifer cleaned and decorated our rooms with care and love. She took care of our laundry and ensured the kids were always well cared for, our room temperatures were perfect and the decor was perfection. Ms. Marcia cooked with love, allowed the boys to try new cuisine while still able to eat to feel full to keep their active schedule. Ms. Marcia and Cecil shopped at the local commissary for anything we asked and also spending with care and using food so that waste was not created. Cecil ensured we had enough bikes for all eight of us, communicated with the rest of our team so that Kemar was always around to keep the pool clean for us to use and the golf carts we charged and ready to ride around the property. I highly suggest that when making reservations you utilize the VIB Mobay service, however although I set it up with the main office and received email confirmation upon arrival I was told they did not have my reservation. 2 hours later in the airport once we finally made it through (with no help from Mobay, although they claim they never received reservation details from half moon bay) we finally made it to the half moon bay reception in the airport and they had marked us as a no show. Lesson learned- ask for double confirmation, why, who knows but my details slipped through the cracks with the resort. Back to the resort, Kemar who services the pools at the villas actually brought the boys a soccer ball from his house and this was the delight of the trip, we played on the huge lawn and it brought big smiles! He can also deliver floats and pool toys, and our landscaper brought us coconuts, cracked them and we all had fresh coconut water- amazing. In the villas you have your own cook so I do not recommend a dining program. Should you venture outside for dining or drinks be prepared. Through no fault of the resort there are taxes upon taxes in Jamaica. A typical cost for two drinks will run you $60-$80. There are beautiful beachside bars, poolside bars, and pool options. We went to the Eclipse infinity pool, which is circled by a beach restaurant and flanked by small ocean coves, perfect for swimming and exploring. One day children were allowed, the next day there was a new policy in effect- so be prepared for changing rules. The spa huts sit over the ocean and look magnificent. The overall architecture of the hotel nods to British Colonial and is historically warm. They have children's activities, tennis courts and lessons, an Olympic size pool, a mini golf court, game room, beach barbeques and life size chess games, and more. Great vacation option! Before you go check out the rain calendar which corresponds with the buggy season.
