#1 of 14 Museums in Willemstad
The museum is a must, as local families (most of whom still live in Curacao) have shared personal belongings including paintings and ritual objects to create a unique and intimate history.
The museum features a wealth of historical artifacts and information that give a unique look at the history of this fascinating island.

Enjoy the history of Curacao through the maritime lens, a museum worth seeing in combination with the Curacao Museum and the Synagogue.

The museum was excellent, but the best part was learning that this is an active synagogue with a vibrant Jewish Community!
This however is a beautiful museum attached to the oldest Synagogue in the Western Hemisphere and totally worth a visit - especially if your in Curacao.

The guides were excellent & very knowledgeable bringing the museum to life showing how the people existed as workers on the plantations.
If you want a glimpse of what life was like for workers (slaves) on Curacao, this fascinating little live museum is a place to visit.
