We went to Shark hole today at low tide - stunning little cove. Swimming possible - but only near the shore.

We snockelling with one of my wife's most loved creatures. 🐢. This was hands down the main attraction to us. Tour guide was feeding them and some of them came too close to us. We also did the ship wreck nearby and it was cool.

Although it may not be like those huge malls overseas, it still has an appeal to it. There are a variety of stores as well as eateries and it's a good place to shop as a family in an air conditioned environment.

Beautiful beach which is cleaned early each morning. Clean toilets nearby & some outside showers .
Love seeing the locals enjoying their family get togethers & having their swims in the lovely clear water .

Leaving our apartment in the gap we waved down a local minibus to take us to Oistin's Friday Night Fish Fry, even though the bus looked full, after some shuffling about we squeezed in and made some new friends. It’s said no trip to Barbados is complete without a trip to Oistin’s Fish Fry. We have been before on previous trips, but our friends had not so for them it was a completely new experience, and Fridays are the most popular nights for that.
Our favorite place is Shirley's Food Hut at the far end of the food and trinket stalls, it's a lot quieter here and serves great food without the tourist rush. While deciding what we were going to eat we ordered a bunch of icy cold adult beverages, (Banks Beer) followed by the traditional pint of rum and coke, the rum was mount gay this time but we prefer the rum from Four Square distillery called by the locals one eye.
The evening was nice a cool so it did not matter how long it took to prepare our order of Pork Chops, Fried chicken, flying fish, and macaroni pie the island's national dish. The ladies at Shirley's are nice, funny, and very colorful, talking to them was a whole new experience.
Once we had finished we strolled around the various stall, listened to the band and watch the dancing, and had a few more drinks before heading back towards The Gap. The local buses stop at 12 but the minibus seem to go on forever, we caught one back to the gap, and as the Cafe Sol was virtually next door to where we were staying popped in for a nightcap.

TIP: Oistin’s is one of those places you have to go to at least once to feel like you are mixing with the Island people.
I would appreciate a thumbs up below if you found this review informative.
    Thank you

Driveway to side of church, plenty of parking with picnic tables. Free to drive into and park. Small on site beach bar and Lifeguard tower. Incredible snorkelling- take beach shoes as uneven underwater surface. Stays shallow quite a long way out. Beyond the breaking waves we saw multiple types of really quite large fish very quickly - we even saw a Puffer fish!

BERWYN was deliberately scuttled by her crew, sometime around 1916:
they didn't want to do the next run for fear of German U-boats.
So they opened her sea-cocks and let her wallow
(which is why she is essentially upright today, even though she's crumbling fast)
Everyone including the ship's cat swam ashore to Browne's Beach, unharmed.
This info. from historian Edward Stoute, before he died.

It took some doing for friends and family to lure me from Coconut Court Beach Hotel to Accra Beach but I am delighted I chose Accra Beach
Shout out to Onika who has gone above and beyond to welcome my daughter and I. We are so touched. Thank you!!!
Location! location! location! is all I can say about the hotel, right on beautiful Accra Beach and near good places to eat and have good coffee . We have an Ocean View room with a great view of the pool and the ocean. Just what we hoped for.
So far, all the staff are lovely and patient and keen to help. Might update with some pictures if I have time.

We only did the trip down the cave due to being tight on time however it was such a great experience and so interesting too! The staff were all very lovely and helpful! We now really want to come back to experience all of the park and I’m sure one day we will.
