An excellent beach and easy to get to from cruise ship. Just walk around the back of the shops to the bus station. It is only $2.50 fare each and drops you at the beach in 15 mins.
Beach chairs and umbrellas $20 for day
    Superb swimming and water sports.

Amazing beach! We were well taken care of by Sandra at Marcel’s Watersports. My daughter got too close to the ropes in the water and was stung by jellyfish. Sandra was knowledgeable and happy to help out with the problem. * Definitely stay away from the ropes! *.
Water and beach are clean, sand is beautiful, and aside from the ropes, never encountered any more jellyfish or had any other problems.
    Great place!!

My daughter and I really enjoyed going to the butterfly farm. Took us about 1 to 2 hours to walk around the gardens and listen to the guide inform us about the reproductive cycle. There were a couple of large moths there as well. That were really cool to look at.

The snorkeling is still wonderful. The area for snorkeling is cordoned off from the bathers which helps. The surrounding area is going through substantial commercialization which will likely have a negative impact upon the landscape. There are now two restaurants and condos are under construction.

Sunbathers should bring cash to rent chairs and leantos. We did not find snorkeling rentals near Mama’s restaurant. Perhaps the Reef has the equipment.

We had a great day in the premium seating area of the island. It was magical and so relaxing hanging out with the flamingos. We went snorkeling on our own in the designated snorkel area and it was amazing. We saw a massive moray eel and an octopus! Drank the Mamacita alcoholic beverage all day. It was colorful, delicious, and STRONG! Appreciated that the premium seats came with extra towels. Slides were really fun! My only complaints are that the food quality was terrible, and checking into the island and the transfer boat was very disorganized. there were no designated lines and people were getting very angry and rude.

Due to the strong winds coming off of South America it was almost impossible to get into the surf. There were 8 to 10 foot waves breaking off shore. This is our favorite beach on Aruba. The surf may have been high, but that didn't stop us from setting up our chairs and enjoying the beach. We tend to go here everytime we are in Aruba, just loving it. The sunsets were fantastic.

A great opportunity to pet and feed the lovely donkeys who live at this sanctuary. They are very well looked after and seem to enjoy visitors. There are also a couple of peacocks, chickens and some cats wandering about! There is a small selection of merchandise and you can purchase drinks/ice creams etc. A nice way to spend the afternoon.

    Unique experience.
I went to the island on a day use. Its rather expensive, 130 USD per person, but I thought it was worth the price.
I got access to the island facilities, free chairs, beach umbrellas, towels, snorkel equipment. Kayak and paddle were not available because of the high winds, but are also included in the package.
I also got a 25USD at the bar, which pays for lunch.
And the best part of course are the flamingos. Its pretty surreal. We could hand feed them, took a bunch of pictures.
    Great day

2/19/24 We had an amazing time on this adventure! Our guide (I believe his name was Nick) was great! It was a wonderful way to experience the nature side of Aruba! The horses were gentle and well mannered. The gentleman that picked us up at the resort gave us some great tips about restaurants to try (Lola's is a must). If you don't try this experience, you are missing out! We went in the morning at 7AM, it was a great time to go, the sky was beautiful, and it wasn't too hot!

The facility is beautiful with open space, interesting landscaping, and a wonderful beach. The staff is equally wonderful and provide a great experience. We have gone twice and plan to go again.

Great trip! We went with another family, so all 8 of us hired a driver and 4x4 covered jeep-ish vehicle to explore the whole park. We all loved it!! The caves were both amazing to witness and the history of Aruba as well. The swimming water hole was really cool too. Saw Casibari and Ayo as well!! Then rode along the east coast for a while, to the church. Very bumpy ride through the entire park . So hopefully no one gets car sick. Really enjoyed the excursion and would recommend this to anyone!! Even though we already had a rental car. The small sedan would never have made it on the roads in the park. Glad for the tour guide and driver!! This park is well worth the visit! Goldmine ruins were ok. Easy to skip this part. Natural bridge was cool too!

This was my second visit to Aruba. We didn’t visit MH last time on account of the warnings about unfavourable swimming conditions. This time we visited the donkey sanctuary so thought we’d take a look as it was nearby and I am so glad we did! I’ve heard the snorkelling there is ‘not for beginners’ and currents can be strong etc but actually we didn’t even go out to the main reef as there was plenty to see in the shallows and the beach was very sheltered due to the mangroves. So, actually it is possible to go and enjoy snorkelling there without going far. I think a lot of pictures show the steps going down into the water but there is also plenty of shallow beach access.
There are two areas with palapas and then a mangrove area in the middle with shelter under the trees, all along a stretch of nice sandy beach. There’s a very shallow bay on the left side where the water is calm and sheltered. Here there are lots of rocks to explore and find hermit crabs etc. It’s mostly rocky along the shore here so beach shoes are recommended but there is a small sandy area for easy entry. We saw 3 eels and lots of crabs in the mangroves when exploring the shallows. Around the corner is the main sandy stretch for entry to the water. I snorkelled here with my 10 year old and we had a great time whilst not even out of her depth. The rocky areas provided plenty to see. Then, along to the right a bit more is the area where the sea can be accessed by steps from the carpark so there are a few different options here.
I’ve heard this place is popular with locals and we ended up there on Saturday at Midday but there was still parking and shady spots. It wasn’t very busy. The visibility here was much better than anywhere else we went on this visit to Aruba so I’m really glad we went and will definitely visit again next time.

Baby goats were so cute! A really nice little zoo with a variety of animals. They gave us 2 cups of carrots to feed the four legged animals. Very much fun!

The chapel itself is quaint and is surrounding by gorgeous views. It seemed like stray dogs live at the chapel as there were two when we got there and water bowls for them.
