Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I would bring oversease guests here for sure. It's only a small area to park and it does even have a very small toilet there, but the view is breath taking of the area of Neerim South. It was a overcast day for us and yet so beautiful, with storm clouds in the background, rolling green hills and beautiful Friesian cows in the forground.

Staff were lovely and invited us in for a browse and mandatory coffee and cake. Both worthy of the visit. Not to be missed even if you are only passing through the town.

I brought my elderly mother here and it was just perfect for a quick strole. It is very grown with plants now compared to the front picture here and lots of houses built around the wetlands, but still a very pleasant short walk. There is also BBQ's here and a toilet block. My husband and teenage son enjoyed it too.

After reading the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect at this park, but ... I was pleasantly surprised. The amenities were clean and tidy. The grassy areas were lovely. There was signage. The road into the park has a reduced speed limit to allow for it's condition. There is adequate parking when you arrive.

It's a charming place with picnic tables and sheltered areas. This is one of those hidden spots that I am sure the locals love.

The Neerim District Community Bank sponsors the Neerim Bower Acquistion Art Prize and in 2016 Nicole Allen's Astro Boy was the second sculpture to take pride of place in Neerim South's Main Street after winning.

As for the artist -- Nicole mainly works in mild steel, Cor 10 or stainless steel, and a mixture of all three. She begins her artistic process by creating a three-dimensional armature in steel, and then ‘panels’ the armature with smaller pieces of steel. She then grinds the ‘panels’ back, to create the required shape and finish. She then hand sand casts the sculpture, in either aluminum or bronze.

It's one of those pieces that will stop you in your tracks and make you ask 'Why'? And isn't that what Art should do? Make you think outside of your normal thought bubble. I love that this town has embraced this process and is enjoying Victorian Artist's work every day. This will only take a few moments out of your day, but you should stop to look at Astro. :)

This memorial is beautifully placed prominently in the centre of town... I can imagine it being used as a meeting point of sorts- " Meet me at the Memorial". :) You can't miss seeing it coming from either direction. What a beautiful way for the locals to remember those who have gone before them.

The War Memorial commemorates those from the district who died in service or were killed in action during World Wars One and Two.

The staff are great to help with all of our snow needs. Chains for the car, snow clothes and boots, and toboggans and snowboards for the kids.

I was driving towards Neerim when I saw the sign on the side of the road that indicated they were open... as just this week my nephew had been born, I thought this might be the perfect place to find something unique for him. And I did!!!

It's in an exceptionally pretty location and the store has a very good range of alpaca goods. As you can see from my photos, I found the softest alpaca teddy bear for my nephew... currently he is asphyxiating in a bag... but with time, he will get released.

The range in the store covers throw rugs ( an incredibly good range of colours), clothing, baby clothing, wool and other assorted goods. It's worth a stop to look at the range of goods and views.
