- Shona26 contributionsTotally amazing!! Guide went out of his way to find animals in the wild for us, kangaroos. Wallabies, glow worms, … saw 2 waterfalls in different rain forests. Absolutely stunning! Learned so much about nature and history!! Glow worm caves were cool… and then we Saw glow worms in the wild at the waterfall! Saw a rare pademelon (like a little kangaroo in the rain forest), amazing birds, Turkey nests, cool trees. Was also very accommodating for a guest with a disability. It was a great family trip. The little cafe we stopped at was very sweet, welcoming and the cakes were yummy.
We saw lots of wildlife (spiders, lizards, eels, learning about the plants) the highlight for us was seeing the glowworms.
The children were very welcomed on this tour and all their questions were answered.

The wineries were rustic and the wines served were quite special. The winery staff were also very accommodating to our requests, and did it with a smile. We were attended by the winemaker/owner at one winery, and the distiller/ owner at the next stop which made the trip even more special.
Lunch was included and it was very tasty, and the portions were generous too. Bought 1 bottle of wine from a vineyard with no barcode on the wines. And that gave me peace of mind. The tour guide was excellent, personable and was awesome with our daughter. The locations we went to were diverse and all had stunning views. Our tour guide from pineapple tours was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and made the trip memorable, Our teenage kids both loved this experience and it was one of the highlights of our gold coast holiday. A wine tasting in Australia is different to Europe, as here they give you a small layer of wine, while at the small vineyards in France they fill up your glass (tasting is free of charge, with the view that you will buy some or a box), its completely different and a part of their marketing/selling strategy looking a bit further than here in Australia.
The second vineyards we have visited had some nice wines and its was a nice tasting experience, where the atmosphere created was very nice. The Vermentino wine of Witches Falls was very nice and a good recommendation!
The third vineyard was comparable with the first one, a little inpersonal not creating the best vibe for a tasting. The lunch was very good though!
