  • The ranking of tours, activities, and experiences available on Tripadvisor is determined by several factors including the revenue generated by Tripadvisor from these bookings, the frequency of user clicks, and the volume and quality of customer reviews. Occasionally, newly listed offerings may be prioritized and appear higher in the list. The specific placement of these new listings may vary.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We saw A LOT of wonderful areas on this walking tour of Osaka! We really enjoyed the castle and the park, as well as the view from the tower and Osaka sign photo op. Our guide was fun and provided good info.
Only concern was how fast she walked. We should have spoken up earlier, but it was an exhausting day, so you might want to put how strenuous the day is up front, or maybe it simply could be adjusted based on the people taking the tour. Even walking as fast and as long as we did, we still did not see everything she wanted to show us. We were simply too tired. I would highly recommend City Unscripted Tours, especially for those younger and/or in better shape (we are in decent shape in our 60s).
We were scheduled to go on the tour with John, but that is not who showed up (so we were looking for a male and a female showed). This was fine; however, we would have preferred being informed ahead of time, if possible...just so we knew who to look for. We walked right past her. Luckily, she used (and I checked) WhatsApp to find us.

Andy is fantastic!!! We got to see many interesting and iconic areas of Osaka. Having Andy there to explain the history and culture made it even more of a great experience. Highly recommend Andy as a tour guide!

My wife and I had our walking tour of Osaka, Japan on May 18th, 2024. Vivi (Communications) did a great job coordinating the event time and meeting logistics. Rahat was fantastic and truly enjoyed showing us around. He was filled with knowledge, his confidence was an stress-relief as we could tell he knew where he was going (he knew cool shortcuts), and we appreciated the way he modified the tour to better fit our interests (cooking, shopping, food, etc). We had a nice time and would not hesitate to schedule another tour with Osaka Food Tours in the future. Remember, Osaka is a crazy busy and action packed city, so having a guide is a good return on your investment.

I had a lot of fun on this tour. Fu-chan was a great tour guide - she told us a lot about the places in the city we walked through and was a fun host at the bars we stopped at. I also thought the selection of bars was good. The drinks were good and we had a lot of food. I think this tour is a great option four someone who wants to get introduced to Osaka.

It was so much fun. Driving was fun, but it was also very satisfying to be able to drive the kart around town! I would like to drive in Tokyo as well.

Really loved the walking tour of Osaka. Both the history, castle, lunch, temples and gardens as well as the market and Hitachi tower provided a great look into Osaka. Taka our guide was both informative and very personable. His English was great! We loved the Sake too! We would definitely recommend. Don’t forget to ask Taka about Colonel Sanders’s curse!!

We had an enjoyable time exploring Osaka Castle and the Dotombori District with Saori!

Saori met us at the end of the cruise terminal and we took public transportation to Osaka Castle (she encouraged us to purchase a day pass for transportation). She arranged for the elderly people in our group to be escorted via lift to the top of the castle.

Before we arrived, she told us that we were going to 'conquer the castle.' After we left she said 'We conquered the castle!'

After leaving Osaka Castle, we journeyed to Dotombori District where we walked by tons of shops and restaurants. And before we knew it, our tour was over!

Saori was a fun guide and ensured that we were able to take as little or as much time as we needed throughout the tour. She even offered the option of extending the tour, but we opted out so that we could ensure a timely return to our cruise ship.

We really enjoyed how much of Osaka we got to see on this bike tour. Our guide Vivi was super knowledgeable on Osaka history and spoke fluent Japanese, English, and Spanish. The food was a good variety and we got ample portions at four separate locations. It was a rainy day during golden week which required extra coordination from Vivi, but she handled it expertly!
