    A very well maintained park. For an inner city park it is a very large space and a great place to relax and go for a long walk.

    One of the few old buildings of this type in Melbourne so that alone makes it worth a look. The gardens are of course much smaller than in the properties heyday but what is left is pleasant. There is a shop and a restaurant onsite and tours are available if you want to go into the house itself. In fact this is the only way to gain access.

    The place itself is like any other of these and the tour will probably be of extreme interest to a few of the people on each tour and bore the brains out of the other half. But it's the only way to get in...

    This would probably be a good place to take children to show them how a certain class of people lived 'back in the day'. Outside of that they may get a little bored. However it must be said that the staff are lovely and many of the fixtures and fittings of the property are quite charming.

    I can't speak to the restaurant as I didn't eat there. Parking might be an issue - probably best to plan on parking a block away and walking - or at least being prepared to do so.

    The historic Morell Bridge is one of many crossings that span the River Yarra. The bridge was completed in 1899. The arch span bridge was built by John Monash, a well-known civil engineer. It's the first bridge to be built in reinforced concrete. The bridge has been closed to vehicular traffic, but it is open to pedestrians crossing from South Yarra. The Morell Bridge is a fine example of the engineers' craft.

    The staff at South Yarra Art House were so wonderful and they have an interesting collection of art by Australian artist. It was so great to see the works of Mel Brigg up close. OUTSTANDING!

    One of the many community parks in the neighbourhood. This little space of green also contains an enclosed playground and seating.

    Argo Reserve is one of the many small green spaces in the local area. Quite well maintained, it has limited facilities but a bit of space for the dog and a playground for the youngsters.

    This three-storey red-brick building was designed over 130 years ago and it reflects an unusual architecture. It is a combination of three forms: Scottish Baronial, Art Nouveau, and American Romanesque. Some Australian decoration is added and the whole is a building balanced precipitously over the railway viaduct.

    Not to be confused with the pretty nearby Argo Reserve. As the name suggests it’s on the corner of Argo and Osborne.

    The main attractions for me are;

    The mature trees
    Proximity to rail bridge so my son can watch the trains go by underneath.

    One for the locals as parking is a nightmare even on a Sunday.

    Situated on the corner of Fawkner Park, this bluestone church is of a solid design and has a very tall spire. The church building started construction over 160 years ago, although the tower and spire were not commenced for about another 25 years.

    Pretty park that would receive more love from me if it was possible to get park nearby. Great location across from Yarra River but parking is impossible
