Kittys gorge walk is a bit challenging in places but still a good walk
Around 12 kilometres give yourself a bit of time for this one but there are nice spots slobg the way to stop for a rest and take in the views

This is a great trail. But July conditons made it difficult. I expected to finish end-to-end in 21 days, but it took 30 days. Perhaps avoid the trail in winter if you want to be comfortable.
The trail was slippery and steep on the northern half. Walking the bike was unavoidable. The southern half is a lot better. Storms left a layer of branches (and sometimes trees) on the single tracks. The 4wd tracks and unsealed roads were therefore preferred.
The dedicated huts are really impressive. One hut, Karta Burnu, I had to stay 4 nights due to a low pressure front. Pitching the tent inside the hut made it more pleasant. The water tanks had plenty of rain water (I used Katadyn purification tablets as a precaution).
The Munda Biddi trail pressure tests your equipment. By day 3 my tent pole had broken, jacket zipper ripped, water bladder mouthpiece broken, air mattress lost etc. The Trek Marlin 5 bike needed a derailleur repair in Collie by Crank'n Cycles who are great. No flat tires for entire trip which was amazing. But I wish I had taken spare brake pads.
Only these things to recommend: Grunt rubber straps, Country Cuisine meals, hardcopy maps - you need the detail, negative rated sleeping bag, saddle bag (panniers will break unless super tough), and recovery nights at caravan parks or hotels - my fav one one being Coalmine Beach Holiday Park.

Lovely little church, catches your eye when you drive past. I actually stopped and walked to it to have a better look. It’s only open on Sundays for a service and if I lived closer I’d definitely come back.

There are some really steep parts so you will need a reasonable level of fitness however i found the view quite rewarding , took us about 2 hours top to to bottom with a bit of time relaxing up the top

Average walking trails, we saw two, one short one and one slightly longer. Nothing to write home about. What looked better were the bike trails, definitely quite a few to choose from and the picnic area looked nice also.

We come here weekly or more. Great play area and well kept large green to kick a ball around. Lots of nice paths for bikes / skates and play equipment is suitable for most ages plus a cricket area for older kids. Barbecue facilities are clean and working and plenty of shade. Only downside is no toilets or taps!! 100% is the reason for home time, if that was sorted we'd have battles to leave!

Quite a warm day but the trail had loads of shade in most parts so it was really pleasant.

Easy parking in a dedicated car park at the head of the trail - although only a small park so limit to the number of cars that can park there.

Trail is covered in a pebble like gravel from start to finish which was very slippery underfoot - especially down hill- we took a tumble or two!!

A beautiful place even in winter. Outside toilets by car park at dam leave much to be desired but one further down ok. Lots of different types of birds to see. Lovely colours on different trees. The wattle was beautiful in full bloom. A great place to visit for free.

We did a little hike in the area of the Blue Rock. Kids love to climb up the rock. There is a clear return trail from the rock through the surrounding woods, which will take less then an hour. The signposts on the trail are deteriorated and the entrance to the rock is blocked with tree trunks so you need to park on the opposite of the Jarrahdale road.

Gooralong Park you can actually get in with a vehicle a couple hundred meters past the locked white gate down the road you’ll see a entrance but sticks in the way but if u go around it and then your on the gravel go left and you’ll see a built up hump of dirt me and my dad go camping there every weekend then once you have gone over hump go straight when it come to a left or right turn go right and you’ll pretty much be at gooralong with a car

The centenary log represents 100 years of logging in Jarrahdale and while symbolic to the area, it is essentially a large log of significance but not something I would recommend going out of your way to see.
