Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are a few families live still there among the ruins and make jewellery and bottled fruit. The fruit was just amazing growing on the trees the pomegranate were huge. We had pancakes freshly made and they were lovely.
The site was really good and the tour guide explained everything to us our children 5,7 and 15 really enjoyed it.
A great few hours were spent there but we didn't realise how hot it was and very little cover and a couple of us had sun stroke, but overall a great place to visit.Written 9 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very young keen staff ready to serve drinks and clear tables instantly. Even though they frequently got the drinks orders wrong but hey ho only learning our language.Could be improved if tea and coffee were served in the morning instead of making another trip to get your own. They serve drinks at all other mealtimes.. A few gripes..we were told at the welcome meeting that we were all inclusive until the minute we left..not true! Our wi fi was turned off at 12 we were at the hotel until 7.45pm. The food service time was changed from 7pm until 7.30 the evening we left so we were unable to have our evening meal before departure. When this was raised with the rep and we requested a packed meal for the airport the rep was advised by reception that our all inclusive finished at 12 and they would not provide food! We were told to use the snack bar but we would have had to have eaten at 4pm as it closed at 5. We were quite surprised as this was opposite to what had been told to all at the welcome meeting. Also the sunbed situation was very bad people got up early to save sunbeds and towels were left on the beds sometimes most of the day even though there is a two hour no return and your towels would be removed...this never happened. Location ..Wonderful location right on the beach was perfect to watch the para gliders from the bar area. And to see the sun go down.Easy to visit the shops only a few yards away. Hair and nail prices nearly the same as home they have put prices up a lot in recent years.Written 4 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MichaelandLizKentKent16 contributionsWe have just returned from our walk, completing the trail from Akyaka to Bodrum. The trail is well marked, but has suffered in places from bulldozers destroying waymarkers.
If you use the latest GPS and the book, then the path is usually navigable, albeit somewhat overgrown in places. We met no other walkers, but were received walmly by all the Turks we met. We managed to stay in comfortable accommodation every night, and completed the trail in 6 days. It's a beautiful walk, very remote in places and, unlike the Lycian Way, practically unknown, even to the locals.
If anyone needs information about the walk, please get in touch.Written 5 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Bar is good, staff friendly and the food good. We came here twice during our stay including on our last day - enough said.
The beach is sandy but as you get into the sea it's a bit rocky. It drops off quite quickly though so good to swim. My boys (10 and 12) loved the pier to jump off. Definitely worth a trip if you want somewhere chilled.Written 3 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Like in many other cases, the humans left their fingerprint here as the tomb is cover in writings.Written 3 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is not big area; it has Zeus Labraunda temple, three androns, hamam, church, stoas, heroon (?) and propylon. How to reach Labranda? I bet only with personal / rented vehicle as I didn’t see any public transportation. Visiting in winter, the weather was warm and there were only two visitors around.Written 29 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The setting is absolutely stunning, surrounded by nature, with a peaceful and authentic atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and felt right at home.
The farm-to-table concept is truly impressive. Every dish was prepared with fresh, organic ingredients grown on the farm. The flavors were rich, and you could taste the quality in every bite. The hosts were incredibly knowledgeable, sharing insights about sustainable farming and the local produce.
We also had the chance to explore the farm, taste fresh olive oil, and enjoy a beautiful meal under the olive trees. It was a unique and relaxing escape from the city, perfect for anyone looking to experience something special in Bodrum.
Highly recommended for couples, families, or groups of friends who appreciate good food, nature, and warm hospitality. We will definitely be back!Written 14 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We stayed in Calis and had a hire car, so only took about 10 mins to drive to Kargi, it was very well signed!. We were greeted very warmly and soon our breakfast arrived, wow, what a huge selection of food to choose from, bread, eggs, cheeses, salad, preserves, vegetables in yogurt, delicious fruit juice, all for 100TL, equivalent to about £5 per person. If you wanted more of anything you only had to ask. It really was a truly great experience and in such a peaceful location.
There is also a museum attached, which was really interesting to wander around. It was lovely to see the orange orchards, no animals about now.
You need to allow at least two hours to enjoy a leisurely breakfast and to wander around the museum.Written 23 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
