- AnaLondon, UK43 contributionsGreat tour. My guide Mr Magician was super funny, entertain us even we wanted sleep in the bus haha. Kayaking on the river was great , I love the walk in jungle national park(only wish to have longer trekking but rest of park is for scientist and military) , next was bee farm which I love it , we could raste honey and buy some jars. Fisherman village and lunch was delicious,next speeds boat to starfish beach was great. Very nice , clean beach belongs to park do no resorts there jejjjjjj :D . We felt well-informed, safe and impressed with the service, right from the hotel pick-up, safety checks, snorkelling time and all the way to our drop-off. This was our first time snorkelling and boy were the coral reefs we got to visit, so beautiful! So full with a variety of coral and abundant with fishy’s all around us. The guides were truly passionate about the ocean and everything within and around it. The guides are fantastic teachers and taught us newbies the ropes quickly and on point. They took the time to make sure we all felt safe and that our equipments were correct for us. It was great to learn about the coral and fishes we were about to see, so we knew what beauty we were taking in and could share our sights with our fellow snorkellers. Perfect amount to snorkel at two spots for about 40-50 mins at each spot, allowing us to really dive in and soak up the wonderful space. Lastly ended with fresh fruit and drinks, watching the early sunset on our way back to the harbour - just stunning. We recommend this tour hands-down, and will be back again for our next visit. Their knowledge and respect of the environment and cultural was fabulous. We learnt about vipers and the Phu Quoc ridgeback dogs. Views were wonderful. Swimming in the waterfall after the hike was lovely. Yummy lunch included too. - WiExPatSan Diego, CA4 contributionsWe chose On Bird due to their focus on safety, their provision of child-sized equipment, and the fact that they would have a guide in the water with us. All factors exceeded expectations, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish.
Pick-up was prompt, and our guide - John - gave us the rundown on what to expect and all safety guidelines. Our group was 4 adults (2 of which were seniors) and one 8 year old, with only one of us professing to be a strong swimmer (and only one of us had ever snorkeled before). Safety continued to be the number one subject as we headed for the first stop to try on gear and get acclimated.
Gear for our daughter was perfectly sized - she was very comfortable with her mask, snorkel, fins, and life jacket. All gear was well maintained and comfortable (they had asked for sizes beforehand, so it was the right size for everyone).
John was amazing - friendly and knowledgeable from the start, and very patient with our newbie group. At one point, he was pulling part of our group through the water while they hung onto a buoy. And, he "showed off" and performed some tricks underwater to the delight of our daughter.
I have never been snorkeling, so I can't compare the reefs here to other places. I'm sure there are much better examples in the world, but I was absolutely transported. It was beautiful, and amazing, and I definitely will do more based on this experience. Tour was nicely paced - never felt rushed or that there was too much time. The pearl farm made for amazing souvenirs. The best was definitely the cable car ride. Our guide Andy was perfect - very friendly, very familiar with Phu Quoc, very charming, he answered all our questions and he was funny, too. We really had a fantastic time! This trip is s 100% recommendation! As it's a private tour, you can decide if you want to shorten some stops. You'll get free water any time.
The day went too fast with Andy being such a wonderful guide. Our guide, Si, was very knowledgeable, took great care of us, and was a lot of fun to hang out with for the night. The bike tour offered opportunity to see parts of Phu Quoc that are off the normal tourist path. And the food was delicious! - Rick L5 contributionsThe best food tour we have ever done. Our driver Thong was great and alot of fun. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to the central part of Phu Quoc. We went to local markets. He told switch alot about the island and culture. We ate at several different location and even had a few beers. The old military Jeep was such fun way to tour around.
