Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We choose Karuizawa Snow park due to the proximity from Tokyo. It takes around 1 hour from Tokyo station to Karuizawa station via shinkansen. The Prince Snow park is very near to the station, there is shuttle bus from the station to the snow park.
There are few courses for beginner to the expert I believe but we only play on the snow park which is for the kids, it has sledging and donuts tube. It has good amount of natural snow.
We enjoy our time there and we spend almost entire day playing snow.

Compare to major ski resort , this has a lot fewer people and at the same time less choices of ski runs. This is really for beginners and intermediate skiers.

There is ski shop, ski school on premise.

But the onsen is one of the best in the country .

A good place to visit when you are in Karuizawa. The waterfall located in woods, fresh walk (easy for kids and the elderly) to reach it.

Came here for day onsen, and paid ¥500 for a dip. There is small indoor onsen and 1 outdoor bath overlooking the bridge and river. The views are amazing and worth the money. As for the onsen, there is only 3 cubicles and i had to wait for my turn to bathe. There were also many local folks coming here and its frequented by many oldies living around here.

Manza is for the real hot spring lovers, in contrast to the famous Kusatsu hot spring. Beside finding the cache hidden near one of the oldest spa called "Houkoku-kan," I would like to introduce this primitive spa, which is pumped up from the source. You can enjoy and taking a hot spa. Good luck and enjoy! Thanks.
