Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

At 5.00 p.m. on Monday, all shops were closed. Luckily, the rest room were still opened and still very clean. Very closed to the village, it is so convenience.

Convenient busstop but just enough seating for people waiting for busses and a clean bathroom. If you have an idea when you will head back it's a good idea to reserve a seat. I saw a couple of frustrated people not able to get on the bus when they where at this station because they didn't take a reservation. I took around 2h30 in this village.

In strolling round the village, it is found that one of the village house has been converted into a small resting house for visitors. It is free of charge and there are tatami inside. Outside the house, there are some "toys" for tourists to set as background for photo-taking.

We had concerns about getting out of Shirakawago to catch our reserved train from Kanazawa to Osaka but knew that all buses from Shirkawago to Kanazawa were fully reserved. The staff was so helpful, informative and reassuring as she taught us how to take the bus from Shirakawago to Shin-takaoka then from there take a Shinkansen train to Kanazawa, with sufficient time to catch our reserved seats on a 5:54pm train from Kanazawa to Osaka. With that info on hand and their office agreeing to keep our big luggages for us (with pay), we lightheartedly went around to enjoy Shirakawago and frolic around the snow for a few hours. And it turned out to be a wonderful and memorable experience for all of us
