We found great results, but some are outside Solola. Showing results in neighbouring cities.
Limit search to Solola.

... top floor offers countless booths with brilliantly colored assortments of textiles (bolts of cloth, trim, yarns etc) that will be made into clothing worn by locals or sold in tourist shops across the region.
Well placed next to the town square (where the bus drops you) and easy to get to from Panajachel.

If you are lucky enough to get to visit Guatemala, and you love colorful textiles, you MUST stop at the Multicolores office/shop in Panajachel.
Now in the new space - the shop and gallery provide a remarkable setting for the display of the rich textural pieces, each with its own story.

You're spending a little bit extra to shop here versus the markets, but your money goes a lot further since you're supporting the vocational schools CECAP offers and you can rest assured the people who made these...
I bought several souvenirs at reasonable prices.

This was a great introduction to the shop, as we learned about the incredible effort and artistry that goes into the creation of each item.
After seeing what it takes to create a scarf for example, you realize that the items are very authentic and are a great value.

There are many aspects to the market including poultry, limestone for making tortillas, textiles, flowers, vegetables, musical instruments, pottery, hot food - you name it.
The market is a fantastic combination of the local food markets including fresh vegetables and chicken, and also great souvenir shopping.

Also his artistic talent is stunning and had the great experience to help him prepare his alfombra (sawdust rug made in front of his shop on Good Friday).
Juan’s shop contains the most unique and authentic artwork I came across during my time in Guatemala.

I went with my girlfriend yesterday and we were surprised about all the cacao and chocolate process, the girl at the shop was super nice, we tried all the types of chocolate and the cacao during all the stages.
Being December and Christmastime we though this would be a great gift for family so went and purchased 11 packs of the drinking chocolate, and a couple bars of their handmade soap.

We all got to take home a long, beautiful scarf that we had woven ourselves from cotton thread, and we got one-on-one help from the women there for every snagged thread.
Would also recommend shopping there, even you can’t take the workshop — their products were beautiful!
