Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a must-visit for anyone going to Greece. The whole place is stunning and there is nothing else like it in Greece. Visiting the monasteries and learning about their history is fascinating, but the best part is just seeing the land scape and the mountains carved out by a river. I have never seen anything like it before.

Visiting the amazing monasteries was incredible. Beyond words in wonder. How the monks managed to build these are incredible feats of engineering.
Definitely spend a day here. It won’t soon be forgotten.

Situated high in the mountains this is still a living monastery and amazing site with colourful art work on the walls and ceilings - frescoes and creative woodcraft.. Women cannot wear any type of trousers and will be given a wrap around skirt if they arrive in trousers. No photography. Very popular and hard to appreciate the artwork in a crowded room. Gift shop.

Embarking on a donkey ride through the picturesque landscape of Meteora was amazing! Very relaxing and perfect way to feel connected with nature. Highly recommended for those who want to experience a memorable authentic Greek experience off the beaten path!
