- kerry cSydney, Australia296 contributionsI loved the bat colony and the walk is varied and interesting.I parked on the west side and walked east till I ran out of time--could take you a few hours returnWritten 26 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tina WSydney, Australia32 contributionsA beautifully maintained historic home set in well maintained gardens and managed by volunteers.
Each room is set up as if the family were still there so it is easy to imagine what life in the Victorian era was like. Lots of fine antique furniture and interesting objects.
The volunteers cooked fresh scones which could be eaten on the verandah overlooking the gardens.
One room has an exhibition about the St George area.Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Now the entire area, Cook Park and beach front has transformed to a beautiful place, clean and spacious, the tall trees are trimed with style, the sand have definitely gone much finer and whiter than I recalled. A lovely place for a walk, relax and just soak up some sun. Definitely will revisit.Written 30 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AndyJohn74Sans Souci, Australia3,391 contributionsThis is a large park that contains a sporting oval, a children's play area, plenty of seating, walking paths and amenities. There are a few picnic tables as well. This park looks nicely maintained and is clean and tidy.
Located between the Princess Highway and Sydney’s International Airport, this park borders the river to the north and high rise apartments to the south.Written 12 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They were very responsive and worked around my schedule and needs to deliver exactly what I wanted. A very special thank you to Christy who was my instructor. He was incredibly friendly, patient, and professional and I felt very fortunate to have him as an instructor. He gave me the confidence I needed to return to the sport after a long hiatuses. If I am ever back in Sydney, I will definitely stop by Abyss again. Thank you Christy and Abyss!Written 1 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- mrdom6,483 contributionsGreat local park because of all the big, old, varied trees shading well kept grass. Is not that big - the adjoining sports fields are much bigger - and affected by one main road but it's a great park if you live nearby.Written 9 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MassagesueSydney, Australia535 contributionsFirst time to this theatre. Love life community theatre and this didn’t disappoint. The play was brilliant. The venue is intimate and comfortable. Easy to get to and some parking available next door and in nearby streets. It was a cold day but the theatre was warm and inviting. Would certainly go to see a play again here.Written 5 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- mrdom6,483 contributionsNice little waterside park surrounded by the new development, except for the highway side so it gets quite noisy. Limited access points but it's not closed off at night and it creates a sanctuary feel (except for the highway) and means it's not a cycle route. Some old buildings, some nice nooks, well maintained, and views of Fatima Island.Written 31 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SydneysideSydney, Australia727 contributionsAs it is located along the Botany Bay strip it is nice and calm with no large waves so you can swim safely. It is netted so it is a little safer than other beaches. Coles and a number of food options are just across from the beach so you can grab a bite, drink or anything else you fancy. While it definitely doesn’t replace going to a proper beach it isn’t a bad option.Written 17 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cainetripBrisbane, Australia67 contributionsToday's pray rooms of any religion or beliefs must be provided with proper parking to match in excess their capacity.
Specially when religions make it obligatory to attend. Heaven has plenty of space in the universe so build a matching parking space for the believers so we can attend in transit to heaven?Written 20 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
