The Calvaire of Plougastel-Daoulas is really worth seeing, as it has been for centuries. But I was a bit disappointed. I looked for the monument which was saved and protected by the Private John D. Skilton Jr in 1944, but it proved out to be something else: restored, rebuilt and new. Anyway, the Calvaire depicted the life of Jesus in a very touching way.

Don't miss the tour every Thursday at 16.00, with a passionnate retired fireman who guides you in the museum. Very interesting !! But the kids got bored after 10 minutes to be fair (our are 3 and 6 years old).

We weren't sure about this but we spent a very interesting hour or so wandering through the museum. Lots of interesting facts and artefacts about the region and strawberries of course! We got to taste the strawberries at the end and they were really delicious with a very different flavour than the usual ones we get in the UK. Worth a visit.
