About
Visit one of the great little wineries? Cape Grace Wines is a 'single vineyard' family owned and operated winery. Meet Robert or Karen Karri-Davies at the Cellar Door and discover the insights into being a small producer. You may see some action in the winery. Cape Grace with their handcrafted wines, are generous with the flavour and character of Margaret River. The red wines are hand plunged and basket pressed. Limited quantities of the single vineyard wines are available only from the cellar door. Wines in the range include the flagship Cabernet Sauvignon, an elegant Shiraz, Cabernet/Shiraz - a Classic Australian Blend, a complex wood aged Chardonnay, a dry Chenin Blanc and a delicious Cane Cut Chenin Blanc dessert wine. Very limited production with wines being sold at the Cellar Door and mail.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were directed to Cape Grace by another vintner, where the manager, Karen greeted us along with the cutest dog we’ve seen in a long while. Outside the shed sit cages of beautiful birds. The wines are delicious, mood joyful; a great way to spend an afternoon.

We are so glad that you wondered off the beaten path to our door step and it is lovely to hear that other wineries are recommending us. Rusty is always happy to greet our customers, we have given him the nickname of the "Hairy Doorbell". We are glad that you enjoyed your time with us and please visit again when you are next in our beautiful region as there is always something new being released. Kind regards Karen

I haven been back to Cape Grace Wines this yearlier. Just wanted to say that Karen has made it possible for me to order their brilliant wines for my daughter and sons special occasions. It is so difficult to send anything to Australia and high quality wine is a fantastic gift.

She hasn't a clue I am doing this but I am sure if you mention my review she would afford you the same great customer servicentre.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are always happy to help in celebrating something special and we do understand that sometimes things need to be done from afar. We hope that your daughter and sons enjoyed the wines as much as we enjoyed making them. Thank you for your continued support and please stay safe in these strange times. Kind regards Karen

Lovely personal experience with the winemakers, their dog and their cocky at the cellar door. Location is gorgeous, set in the bush down a dirt road but still in the heart of the wine region. Wines were lovely and the descriptions understandable (not full of wine waffle). Highly recommend it.

Small, cellar door winery with very limited product but a gem of a place, and the owner/vintner is such an interesting person, with a varied career before coming to wine making. Very personal wine-tasting experience. You'll love the talking bird and other colorful birds out in the acreage.

Hi Carlotta, thank you taking the time to share your experience at Cape Grace. You have offered a great insight. The talking bird is 'Elvis' a long billed corella and most entertaining. We look forward to welcoming you back and remember we can send wine to your home.

A small premium boutique winery. A very helpful and interesting host and beautiful wine, all in a stunning setting in the trees. I look forward to drinking the wines we bought.

With a wide range of wine selection and a generous helping of all their wines for tasting, the owner of this winery gives a very intimate experience for wine tasting with the genuinity in his approach. Easing you into the various makings of the wines and their distinct characteristic, it helps one appreciate the flavours just that much more. The wines speak volumes by themselves but what won the hearts of many on the tour with my friends and I was the sincere approach of the owner. It was sharing part of his life with us and not a sales pitch which we experienced. Overall, it was a wonderful experience to the world of wines by Cape Grace. Definitely a destination worth re-visiting!

Visited today and Rob was wonderful. Even though he was alone and it was getting busy, he remembers where the tasting has stopped and is very knowledgeable. Very generous and organized. Can’t recommend this place more! Do visit when in the area.

Wines are just a notch above other wineries even though they are very small family operation. This was our 2nd time to visit and it did nothing to disappoint. We had a great conversation with Robert about his geology background and his recent visits to Singapore. This is a very small operation with a no nonsense fancy cellar but you are free to walk around to checkout their operation and see their birds. Reason to go is the high quality wines and visiting with the owners.
