We could spend more time in the shop for photo taking and investigate their unique items. - Catherine N41 contributionsSimply a Beautiful ShopWe came across this shop by chance and entered. Hubby & I were like kids in a Candy Store. We walked around the shop with smiles on our faces. So much to see and experience. The nicest shop I have visited in years and years.Visited April 2023Written 21 May 2023
- wtandyLaunceston, Australia861 contributionsJust perfectFantastic experience here today, on a Sunday drive from Launceston, on an otherwise bleak day. Hopeful of finding a door part for an old timber door so that we could close it again we thought we'd try our luck here (no luck at the tip shop and a couple of markets prior to this). When the right reproduction wasn't immediately available, the knowledgeable, & very helpful gentleman in the shop (? owner), managed to repair our old one on the spot (with a fair bit of labour & a spring). We were incredibly appreciative of this. Following this we found the perfect pair earings and a card for one of our nieces, and Gilly's lavender wax to polish our timber dining table. Fascinating shop, fantastic experience! Definitely must visit shop if in LatrobeVisited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 July 2023

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Short review: THIS PLACE BLEW MY MIND! Even hubby was impressed. I've paid entry fees to see places not as good as this shop.

Such an interesting place. It's basically a shop but it not only has toys, games, books for sale there's also areas for you to explore like Alice in Wonderland, Christmas, Dinosaurs, Star Wars and lots of other themes. There's also a coffee shop.

Having visited pre new building. New building, new staff, as sour as a lemon. I will not return with such a bitter woman behind the desk.

How wonderful to walk into a shop and see everyone smiling and happy. So many things to look at, to explore and to take in. It is a must see if you are in that part of Tasmania.

We stopped in here on the recommendation of a friend and were glad we did. What an eclectic mix of items. We loved the large soft toys and the horror room. Well worth a visit.

what was the name of the hotel that was the original business where Reliquaire is.

It was the Stones Hotel, then the Retreat Hotel followed by it then being the Lord's Hotel. After this it was converted in to flats by the Russell family(my father in-laws grandparents) after Mr Russell passed away the building was left to his two daughters who later sold it to the Christie family in the 90's. Hope this helps ☺
