Fun tour guided by Mr. Nobel, himself. We thought it was a was a wax figure seated at the dining room table when we started the tour, but then he stood up, introduced himself, and led us through the house while telling his story. Absolutely delightful.

This place and the look alike Alfred has lots of interesting things about Alfred Nobel that I was not aware of. One thing I learned was, that at that time of Alfred the Swedish government ruled that you deemed to live in the country where you have your horses. This was Alfreds luck, as otherwise he would have seen living... More

With a bit of luck you may actually meet Alfred Nobel when you visit the Nobel Museum in Karlskoga. Many of the guided tours are "theatrical" tours where you are guided by Mr Alfred Nobel himself (or someone else from his life). The tour is interesting and educational, and not without a certain amount of humour and interaction with the... More

We found the sign to this museum by the road and went with no expectations. There was no guided tour going on, but they made a tour for us two. The museum is very interesting indeed. Knowledge about Alfred Nobel is a must in Sweden and this place helps a lot. Check the home page for tours, they told us.

A truly historic place, the last home of the famous Alfred Nobel. The guide is really excellent and prepare yourself for a suprise! The surroundings, close to the river Timsälven is nice too.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect at this museum, knowing there is a "Nobel Museum" in Stockholm that I would later visit. I quickly understood this place was more about Nobel the man than the prize. To visit the home in which Nobel spent his last few years, and learn about the complex situation with his will was fascinating.... More
