I was very disappointed when I visited this rest camp again after a couple of years. The bungalows were very run down although revamped a couple of years before. The restaurant and service was average and the walking trails very neglected if sometimes none existent due to overgrowth. The baboons there are crazy and have no respect of humans which... More

Enjoyed great stay at Waterberg, strolling along the walking paths, having great meals at restaurant, delicious braais (barbecues) at bungalow, swim in scenic pool, enjoyed the Damara Dikdiks feeding on the lawns, but the highlight were the wonderful variety of birds, especially numerous sightings of rosy-faced love birds and and Meyer's parrots.

A fair hike off the main road but will worth the trip. Accommodation neat and tidy and the restaurant and service is great.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Etosha. It is a typical Namibian Wildlife Resort. Beautifully situated with lots of wildlife and scenery. On the whole the staff seem disinterested. Except for the driver who took us onto the plateau for an afternoon drive. We visited 4 waterholes and the first 3 had very little of interest.... More

We spent a 2 nights in Anderson campsite and it was absolutelly fantastic. There are only 4 campsites but nobody else was there. We were alone in a wilderness. We bought a half day trip up to a Waterberg plateau and it was very very interesting. Our guide was perfect and gave us many informations about wildelive and about a history of this place.... Fantastic walk to the plateau. You need good foot-ware for the clamber up to the plateau and 1.5 -2 hrs so you don't get caught in the dark. The cliffs are all colours. Unlike many camps there is plenty of opportunity to walk around and see a bit of nature (birds/ flowers). Walks varied and well signposted. Food. The braai... More

Visited the National Park for a few hours. The mountain trail is worthwhile doing, providing great views of the plateau from the top of the coloured rocks. Be careful of some of the marked walks as they are dead-ends, for example the one from the cemetery to the north of the park.

The accommodation is very average. If you go, rather camp. The national park has beautiful views and hiking trails. The Bird life is amazing!

Travelled from Otjiwarongo for a day trip to the Waterberg. Took about 90 minutes. Straightforward journey on a good tarred road until the last k or so. We didn't climb the plateau but the area looked very green and lush. Saw many birds and some buck within the park. We had spent a long time in Namibia and this environment... More

Small wildpark. You can take 9 different walks, one leads to a very beautiful mountainview. We saw baboons, klipdassies,...
