Poor service, poor restaurant, poor management, arrogant and lazy staff. Only the landscape is beautiful and it's sad to see that they are not using their potential....

Worth a walk up to the plateau to see the view. Enjoy the hyrax, dik diks and the horn bills. Bring binoculars and explore. We didn't see much in terms of wildlife but it was an enjoyable day. Also nice to relax by the pool...More

The layout and surroundings quite beautiful, unfortunately not well kept. The chalets are spacious and in good condition. The hike to the plateau is well worth it, better still to go on the 3 night plateau hike. The hike is easy and has good overnight...More

We stayed in the Waterberg Valley Lodge nearby and went to the Waterberg NP for a day visit. We did the mountain climb in the morning. It is a short climb (45 min), but I found it rather strenuous ... It certainly is not 'a...More

After a normal ride over gravel roads you reach the Waterberg National Park. This offers you a memorial in the form of the German cemetery (Herero insurrection), as well as a small ascent to the Tafelberg, a magnificent view of the never-ending Kalahari. The restaurant...More

This lodge is in a beautiful escarpment of red stone which forms a plateau. The tree- lined slopes are home to a multitude of animals and birds. The lodges are very comfortable and simple, with all you might need. The pool is picturesque. The restaurant...More

Nice place to visit, we went up the waterberg plateau and went to the German cemetery. It's really worth the fee for going up!

Waterberg is unique, both as a landmark (huge table mountain in an otherwise flat landscape) and ecosystem. It is also a nice 2h hiking experience, and views from the top are gorgeous. Should you try to take the 'alternative route' down, make sure you don't...More

Yes. You can hike up to the plateau on a sign-posted path. It is not very strenuous and the views are breathtaking. Definitely worth your while
