Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

With the sun shining and the cool breeze off the water Hampton Beach has more charm. The sand is okay, the swimming area slopes down and is free of rocks (in the shallow) and it is a fairly typical beach along this stretch of coastline although Sandringham to the south is probably a better beach

Visited on Wednesday 12th February, another beach where you can get out and enjoy a swim or just walking along the sand.

A winters day and the sky is grey and few people are on the beach but it is a beach and that is positive although it is not the best beach along this coast. Sandringham is far prettier and a more interesting beach but on a grey day all masked up better than nothing.

Hampton Beach is fairly typical of the baches along the coastline to the east of the bay.It is pleasant enough with clean sand and some walking trails above the beach.

You can walk along the sandy beach or along a well made path close by (ramps up to the highway) or even walk or cycle along the cliff tops. We came here as a small group and were caught up in quite a crowd of dog walkers.

Living along the Bay spoils you and Hampton Beach is one of those spoils. Great walking tracks either paved or bush tracks with magnificent views.

A nice clean wide beach for everyone. Nice for a great tan on a sunny day. Wide walking path from above the ground level allows a nice long walk with heaps of benches to rest to enjoy the views. Cycling path is also nearny. There's some cafes and shops along parts of the path from across the road.

Two options present themselves here - walking along the beach or on the coastal pathway higher up which will be an easier walk and will provide far better coastal views.

But of course the beach will allow the wander and is a better option for any canine companions you have. It's a nice beach though of course given the area there are no waves to speak of. Not far to the south - on the Sandringham end - is a place you can hire kayaks.

Hampton Beach is a narrow sandy beach situated below cliffs. It can be reached by stairs and a long incline. It is a relatively safe beach with a life saving station located here.
