This is a 3X1 tour of coffee, sugar cane and chocolate. I learned a lot about coffee drying, sorting and roasting. It made choosing coffee to bring home from Costa Rica better since I knew what I was buying (grade, drying, who grew and processed the beans). I did not see peaberry beans anywhere else in CR so that was... More

Really nice and funny tour with many opportunities to taste the sugar cane, coffe and chocolate in different stages of production. Interesting information served with jokes make this tour very entertaining and because it's well timed so you definitely won't get bored.

Very interesting and educational tour. Having a 3-in-1 (cofee, sugar cane, cacao) makes the tour very diversified and not lengthy at all. It is definitely not a tourist trap. I recommend it. The free transportation from our hotel was reliable and on time.

What a stimulating experience! I learnt so much about the cultivation and processing of coffee, sugar cane and cacao as well as Costa Rican life and history. It was fascinating to taste the raw plants and the products during various stages of processing. By the time it got to the coffee drinking at the end I was buzzing already on... More

My children are 14 & 11, and they enjoyed it. I was happy with how educational it is, because I homeschool them. We saw the processes of how sugar cane, chocolate, and coffee are made. The tour was interactive; we got to make some of the products ourselves and taste all through the stages. We rode in an ox cart,... More

This is a small local farm and we have joined the 3-hour coffee, chocolate and sugar cane tour conducted by an English speaking guide. The guide accompanied the group to walk through the coffee and sugar cane plants then explained to us the coffee making process. This is a boutique farmer so the production size was small. We also had... More

Tour of coffee, sugar, and chocolate making process. It was interactive and staff friendly. The clouds concealed what would have been an amazing view. :(

We spent a wonderful few hours touring the El Trapiche plantation and learning about coffee, cocoa, and sugar cane production. The oxcart ride was fun as well!

We learned a lot about coffee, chocolate and sugar cane. We were in a small group (4 total) and there was lots of hands-on experiences. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable about the farm. It's a small family run place and the coffee is excellent! Our price included transportation from our lodging. Only word of advice- if it's a... More
