Monteverde Costa Rica is one of the best areas where you will have the chance to learn about the cultivation and the processes, of how an authentic coffee that was used as far back as our grandparent’s generation is made. The tour was developed in an environment that stands out as one of the best in our culture and tradition; a tradition that has made this country one of progress and peace. The tour lasts for about 2 hours and it includes typical snacks and the option of an authentic home-made lunch.

We toured in 2009 and loved it so much we had to come back. Now they've added cocoa to the tour. It was great. The coffee is great. The chocolate is amazing. And we loved sipping coffee on the terrace. HIGHLY recommend. Our guide this time was Alex and he was great.

The tour operator picked us up from our accommodation at no extra charge. We toured in a group of about 10, with our guide explaining first chocolate, then sugarcane and finally coffee production. The tour encourages participation and guests will have the opportunity to taste foods at various stages of the processes. At the end of the tour, they offer... More

Not something I was particularly interested in but ...........This really was a pleasant surprise. The tour was part of an organised tour. Our Guide was exceptional and held our attention throughout, coffee, sugar and Chocolate. We all learnt so much. A great experience.

Junior was not only our driver, but as it turns out, our tour guide too! We met Orlando shortly into the tour in the coffee plantation, friendly and bearing our flashlights (for later) and smiles. We learned so much that we didn't know about the whole process of Coffee, from a sapling, barely 1 month old, to fully grown plants... More

We took the coffee n' jungle tour with our guide Orlando. What a wonderful time we had! I learned so much about coffee that night. We took a walk in the jungle and saw several animals and insects, it was really exciting. Orlando is interesting, funny, he know a lot about coffee. I highly recommend this tour. Super!

I had an opportunity to take a tour of this place during a recent trip to Costa Rica. The tour was excellent, and our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. Great facts about how coffee grows and is processed were given to our tour group, plus we had an opportunity to sample the delicious coffee and chocolate! If you ever... More
