Monteverde Costa Rica is one of the best areas where you will have the chance to learn about the cultivation and the processes, of how an authentic coffee that was used as far back as our grandparent’s generation is made. The tour was developed in an environment that stands out as one of the best in our culture and tradition; a tradition that has made this country one of progress and peace. The tour lasts for about 2 hours and it includes typical snacks and the option of an authentic home-made lunch.

Great place to visit in MonteVerde! Our guide, Junior, was as funny as he was knowledgeable. Most of the tour focuses on coffee including how its grown, processed and roasted. There's also a bit about chocolate (including a tasting of raw, unpeeled cocoa beans which are surprisingly tasty) and you get to process some sugar cane to make it into... More

The multi stages of coffee explanation provided in depth understanding, and was presented with a bit of humor.

My husband and I decided to book this tour because it was too rainy and windy to do anything else in Monteverde, and we left pleasantly surprised! It was really informative, fun, and delicious! Our guide Valery was so cute and really funny. She knows a lot about Costa Rica and their coffee, sugar cane and cacao farming. You get... More

We had a very enjoyable and informative tour by Alex. He was friendly and fun and included all of us in the different processes of making coffee, as well as chocolate and sugar cane juice. I don't think I'll ever look at coffee the same way again, so much hard work goes into it and all the coffee pickers deserve... More

I had never been on a coffee tour before but I had such a great time! The tour is great I learned so much about coffee and really enjoyed how interactive it was. Our tour guide was amazing she was so kind and knowledgable. Be sure to pick up some beans on your way out!

We visited for the first time with our family and really enjoyed this combination tour which taught us a lot about coffee production, chocolate (even though they don't grow it there) and sugar cane. Each was a hands on experience which was great- would highly recommended this tour.

Great, learn about all the different crops and to learn more about pure coffee, sugar, and cocoa compared to the cut or fake products we see in the US. Very interesting and am very glad we went being a lover of 3 products and very conscientious of the foods me and my wife consume.

It was fun tour where we learnt about the whole process of making coffee. Also saw sugar cane and tasted it. The chocolate part was also a lot of fun and we got to taste the chocolate at different stages.
