This site of what is supposed to be the smallest desert (not the spelling) is closed to Port Edward and just of the main road and clearly sign posted. There is a sign at the gate advising of this desert, but no further information. The...More

A most unexpected sight in Kwazulu Natal. A dessert a short distance away from the usual lush greenery of this province. It reminded me of our perception of Mars!

A dessert at the Kwazulu coast....never... The smallest dessert and a must visit on a windy/cold day at the coast. Beautiful landscape and plants.

Found the smallest desert in the world by accident. Beautiful, pristine, tranquil exploration. Best kept secret in Africa!

A small (200m) dessert of barren red sand and wind sculptures lying within a lush green grass meadow. It is the strangest occurrence and is rated as the worlds smallest dessert. Well worth the visit to see this strange landscape. Pity to see that some...More
