While everyone enjoys the wine and the view when they come to visit, the most asked question would have to be about our name...On a cool spring morning in 1929, a small crew from Okanagan Falls set off to a deserted mining camp some 16 miles away from home. Their mission: to dismantle an old wooden church and bring it back to Okanagan Falls. The plan called for a controlled blast of four dynamite sticks inside the church in order to "loosen the nails". Odd as it may seem, the explosion spared the wood from damage during dismantling.Save for losing the steeple, the plan succeeded. Now the 103 year old wooden church stands proudly in its second home of Okanagan Falls and is still an operating United Church. In keeping with its rather remarkable history, the church has since withstood the threat of two major floods, including the disastrous burst of the Okanagan Falls Dam in the early 1950's.In naming our VQA wines "Blasted Church" we celebrate the ingenuity of the initiative to move the church and honor those pioneers for their vision.

Visited on the long weekend, it was incredibly busy. Did not wait to taste the wine, staff were friendly and knowledgable. Tried some nice whites and bought a few bottles. The pizza truck was quite disorganized we waited quite awhile for pizza. Those who ordered...More

Hi Kim, Thanks for the feedback, I'm sorry you didn't get to try any wines during your visit and that there was confusion around your pizza order, it's our first year with Stoked Embers so we are working out a few kinks and appreciate the...More

We love going to this vineyard. The setting is perfect; situated on a hill over looking a swimming pool and the rows and rows of grapevines. The tasting room is a good size with knowledgable and pleasant staff. But the reason we come there is...More

This is a small family winery with great service and wines. The winery has a 30 foot food truck which sells wood fired pizza. There are tables to sit outside. This is worth a visit. Great views too.

4 wine tasters for $5 a person seems a bit high. Especially since most vineyards are complimentary or have a $2-3 tasting fee.

My initial thought when noticing the vestment-inspired uniforms the wine hosts were wearing was, are any of them atheists? My girlfriend and I were on vacation through Okanagan wine country. Over six days, we visited sixty wineries. You can follow our various locations with this...More

We were told we HAD to make this a stop on our tour. Interesting history, good wines and more amazing views. Stop in and check it out. Such colourful labels on these bottles each with their own unique story to tell

Did not have to sample the wines this time as we knew what we wanted before going in. The scenery in the area is worth the visit along and the wine just tops it off.
