It is a great night watching movies under the stars at the beach but be sure to bring a jacket in case a southerly comes through.

We saw Rogue One last night. Although it rained a little and blew a hooley for the second half of the film we had a great evening. Prompt and friendly email response when I could not find my ticket details. Ladies on site at box office swamped the one lounger I had mistakenly booked rather than two for 2 deck... More

We bought tickets to the Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinema at Bondi Beach because we happened to be visiting when Back to the Future was playing (a classic!). We loved it! The movie screen is plenty big for everyone to be able to see. The grounds consist of a large green hill just steps away from Bondi Beach and the... More

I have tried for the last three years to successfully see a movie here. Being local I like to support events but have been sorely let down. After a devastating series of storms we were offered replacement tickets to the following year. We again booked and with the 'new' conditions of the show will go on in all weather conditions.... Very popular and usually sells out quickly. Bring your own blanket, food (or rent a bean bag chair and buy food/drink there). Be prepared to be packed in like sardines though. Overall a great experience watching movies at this venue.

Watching the bats flock towards the venue was a highlight of our cinema in the park experience. We rented bean bag chairs which were comfy and available.

This is a great casual experience to watch a film with a date or a group of friends. But a few tips - it's not fun at all in the rain, it's better just to not go or leave when the rain starts. We stayed and the projector fogged up, sound dropped out twice and we were very wet! On... More

I love the open air cinema, great to go with friends/family/partner take down a picnic, few drinks etc. I would recommend taken something comfy to sit on or you can hire bean bag loungers.

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighbourhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
