Very pleasant place to discover. As a Prague inhabitant, I tend to be hard to amuse by a castle. This one enchanted me completely. Inside, there is not much to see, but what you see is well preserved. And the view from the top of the castle was marvelous. We visited the place on November afternoon, thus we saw green... More

One of the last inhabited burgs of Europe, very well preserved and with a wonderful atmosphere, as many great historical Romanian movies have been realized here. A must to visit. An advice: try to meet Mr. Samo when being here: he's 70 and is known as guardian of the castle and he uses to say a lot of wonderful stories... More

Rasnov citadel was a pleasant discovery during our holiday, we choose for the long walk and it was well worth it once we reached the fortress which is definitely amazing.

It's an OK fortress if you've never been to one. There are no dispays, though, and instead too many gift shops selling cheesy souvenirs. No, not cheese. Little toys, magnets, touristy items....The view from above is not spectacular and the big green audio guide number signs posted throughout the fortress ruin your photo ops. There are enough gift shops at... More

A good place to visit in a rainy day.It is located in the hill near the Rasnov city. The entrance price is not too high so you should visit this if you are on the way in Brasov county or you are in Bran.

Been there with my nephews - there were a lot of medieval activities in the fortress - the view is incredible.

Rasnov citadel is awesome anytime. The view from the top is amazing, you are surrounded by mountains, it is really beautiful. Near the citadel is a Dino Park.

Impressive Castle in Transylvania region. Fortress can be reached by cable car from the village Râsnov, or from the other side on foot, or in the lining which is attached to a tractor. After entering the gate, there is a few minutes' walk until reaching the fortress. Within the fort houses partially restored, there are workshops, shops selling souvenirs, and... More

Do not try to walk to the citadel unles you are very fit, it is a good distance up hill and with the tractor/trailer costing only a few lei I would save your legs for the citadel tour. Very atmospheric castle with superb views over the town and surrounding forests and mountains. There are some tourist shops for souvenirs but... More
