This museum is a must see, especially after you visit the palace reconstruction complex next door. You will definitely appreciate the skill it took to construct it. Ensure that you have at least 3-4 hrs to see them both.

Buyeo and Gongu were once the capitals of Baekje dynasty. If you are a history lover, you should pay visit to their museums. Plus the National Museum in Seoul, you will have a more thorough understanding of their histories.

C1 ( 2016.06.03 ) This museum had many exhibits about Baekje's history, but there was smaller than I think. The fee was free, and well-managed. Many people was in there for watching exhibits, and the atmosphere was good. There was not sufficient to me, but it was certain that there was good museum about Baekje.

See it if you happen to be there anyway. It contains numerous relics from the stone, bronze and copper age. It's most valued possession is the famous incense burner, which is a Korean national treasure and reputed to be the most beautiful incense burner in all of asia.

After several hours of bus ride from Busan, including a switch from one bus station to another in Daejeon, the fifth largest city, I arrived at the bus station in Bueyo. There was no information to ask. This area is rather traditional in both positive and negative sense. A couple taxi drivers did not want to take me there. Later... More

This museum is primarily focused on Baekje, but does showcase historical artificacts even before the Three Kingdoms period. The Buyeo National Museum is fantastic because it provides insight into this fascinating time period, adding value to the limited historical remains of the Baekje dynasty. For those interested in ancient East Asian history Buyeo and Gongju are both worthwhile destinations. Both... More
