We stopped in at the Last Spike on our drive east on the trans Canada. Interesting part of Canadian history, with a small gift shop, and picnic area with toilets.

An interesting place which is for the history or train buffs. Cute little gift shop and nice picnic area (although right on the highway). Worth a short stop if passing by.

Having watched the history channel dramatization of thete building of the Canadian Pacific Railroad recently and knowing the hardship and sacrifice they endured this kwas especially thrilling. The last spike just off the trans Canada Highway in Craigellachie British Columbia.

Very small stop, we actually would have missed it. Nice stop to grab a coffee and use facilities while seeing where the last spike in the railway ended.
