As you enter this unique world you will be struck by the immensity around you. Between natural light and shape, sequoias and giant bamboos rise majestically to form a royal alleyway. Nature becomes a cathedral, with a towering 40m oak and 35m magnolia; the valley is so vast that even a dozy dragon could take a nap in the refreshing shade of the gingko tree. The ideal place to dream, to relax, to reflect, to play ant to revel in the joys of discovery... lose all sense of time and lose youself in another world, in the heart of the Cevennes.

Over 1,000 varieties of remarkable, rare flowers, trees and plants create an exuberant decor where visitors wander in enchantment throught the Zen gardens, Victoria greenhouses, mysterious labyrinth... inhaling precious perfumes and enjoying scenes from Asia or America, showns and artistic performances.

Unique in Europe, dating back to the 19th century, and listed as one of France's most beautiful gardens, the Bambouseraie is a monumental naural experience, sure to open both the eyes and hearts of spellbound visitors.

Have visited the Bambooseraie on several occasions since 1983 and seen extensive changes over the many years and I never get bored of a two hour trip around the gardens and just love the plant life, trees and various bamboos. It is also wheelhair friendly and easy to access all the paths. It's quieter out of season and plenty of... More

We keep going back to this beautifully and well kept forest! There is a possibility of taking a steam train to it too from Anduze. The park offers shade on the hotest days of the year here and also offers breath taking trees/flora and bamboo forests. There is also a beautiful aqautic part of the gardens and some cati in... We buy a season ticket for the Bambouseraie every year and enjoy the peace, beauty, and coolness in winter, spring, summer, and autumn. Our two dogs also enjoy the walk around the well laid out grounds. The Valley of the Dragon is a particularly beautiful Japanese garden with magnificent blossoms in spring and summer and the colour of the leaves... More

A quite place to discover many species of bambou and other plants and trees. The area is refreshing and very well maintained.

If your kids are outdoorsy this place is ideal. Lots of bamboo, big trees, a bamboo maze, water garden, beautiful Japanese garden and then, if you time it right a fabulous steam train ride ( be prepared to get a little sooty as it goes through the tunnels). We had a great day with our 4 and 1 year old... More

A bamboo plantation in the middle of Southern France? Yes, with extensive walking trails, a formal Japanese garden, Laotian village and lots of plants. Visiting friends in Corconne, we were treated to a pleasant morning touring Le Bambouseraie. An example of what money and determination can produce. Walking paths lead you through multiple settings of the bamboo plants while providing... More

Fantastic place to visit, especially when it us hot. However, on my last visit it was clear that things needed some attention. Broken seating, broken barriers etc all looking a bit shabby. This is a shame as the bamboos and other plantings are superb. It is a shame that they don't have a decent restaurant.

We visited these gardens having read an article that they were some of the most beautiful gardens in France. They probably have one of the largest collections of bamboo - it was very cooling walking through the bamboo forests on an exceptionally hot day. The gardens also show the number of ways bamboo can be used and have a bamboo... More
