Nice

This is where dinosaurs left their marks in Mongolia. It has nice views especially on a clear day when the Cliffs seemed to be endless. A pretty good place for a hike. Certain spots are narrow so will have to be careful.

Dinosaur Fossil Found here ...
Sep. 2019 • Couples
This is another breathtaking natural view at central/ southern part of Mongolia. The cliff looks like it is on fire especially during the sunset. Hence, it is given the name as “Flaming Cliffs”. There were several species of dinosaurs fossil found here. Hence, you can imagine the dinosaurs moving around at this site during the Jurassic period. Another must visit destination at the central/southern part of Mongolia. Coming here by road trip with tour guide and driver is recommended. Despite the bumpy journey, the beautiful rugged countryside views are well worth the effort!

Dinosaurs!
Dec. 2018
I visited Mongolia in 2015, staying at Three Camel Lodge and visiting the Flaming Cliffs. The site is small, but I felt we saw a lot and the landscape is beautiful. Worth a visit if it's not too out of your way.

Attractive but small.

The Flaming Cliffs offer scenic landscape (especially at sunrise) in the middle of the steppes but are small in scope. One of 2 or 3 such sights in the Gobi. Standard stop on many of the Gobi tour itineraries. Need about an hour to walk around.

Dinosaur history!
Jun. 2019
Flaming Cliffs offer some stunning relief in what is otherwise sometimes rather flat and barren land. The cliffs are particularly impressive near sundown, when the angle of the sun paints the cliffs and yields wonderful shadows. But what the cliffs are really famous for are the dinosaur discoveries, starting with historic expedition of Roy Chapman Andrews in the 1920s, which discovered for the first time fossilized dinosaur eggs. You won't see dinosaur eggs or skeletons here now, but you can imagine the findings of the famous expedition back in the days when travel across the Gobi was a true adventure.

In Mongolia’s Wilderness - Gobi Desert, Flaming Cliffs.
Jul. 2019 • Friends
A short hike and stepping onto this impressive red plains of the Flamming Cliffs-home of the Dinosaurs where they once lived and roamed freely is what you need to do and see if you are in Mongolia. No, we didn’t stumble upon the first dinosaur fossils BUT we DID see with our very own eyes when we were taken to one of the sites of the buried fossils. Can’t believe our luck really, having experienced a sandstorm that struck while climbing up the singing Sand dunes earlier and now the dinosaur fossils! Explore and walk to the very end of the Cliffs and you’ll be able to take stunning shots too of the beautiful landscape surrounding it. All this is made possible thanks to our capable, friendly and nice tour leader Ken Wang from YAT Travels for organising and giving us this wonderful adventure.

Awe-inspiring Landscape
Jun. 2019 • Couples
This location boasts of being the place where many dinosaur bones had been excavated. Flaming Cliffs is an apt description for it is surrounded by orange coloured plains that spread far and wide while you admire the view on the edge of cliffs after the short hike. This is a land that inherits rich historical deposits.

Lovely colors, views and rock formations
Jun. 2019 • Family
The flaming cliffs (also called Bayanzag) are where they found the dinosaur fossils in Mongolia. The cliffs themselves are a lovely color, go at sunset or sunrise when the reds come out in the light. You can hike from one end to the other or hike down from the top. There are many interesting rock formations and photo ops.

GREAT VIEWS, FOSSILS, AND STRANGE ROCK FORMATIONS
Jun. 2019 • Couples
The Flaming Cliffs (or Bayanzag site) is well worth visiting. The rock formations are red in color and literally glow at sunset. This is where Roy Chapman Andrews discovered the first bed of dinosaur eggs, and it is still a prime spot for fossils. The views from the cliffs are striking. This cliff formation extends into China
