Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great megalithic sanctuary, really impressive! The access is easy by foot or car from Primorsko and it is cheap. There is a proposal for the stones to show whatvl their role was. The nature is very beautiful and there is a trail in the forest. Similar monuments are all over the world, shoes connections.

Beglik Tash is an ancient Thracian sanctuary and a very mysterious, energy-charging place. By the artefacts (coins, pottery, tools of labor, etc) found in the area, it was dated back to the 7th century BC but some Bulgarian scientists, exploring the place, suppose it functioned for 2000 years - from the 15th century BC till the 4th century AD. Its present name comes from Turkish and means 'the stone where the tax for the feudal lord was collected" as there the shepherds used to pay their taxes in the form of cattle.
The sanctuary consists of many huge stones forming different parts of it but those of greatest importance can be considered as 3. First, the Throne, from where the Thracian priest led the ceremonies. Second - Apostol Tash - a huge rock, measured to weigh about 100 tons, shaped as an upside-down heart. Third, The Labyrinth, a system of rocky corridors through which the people, striving to reach spiritual initiation, had to pass.
The best way to go to Beglik Tash is by car, it is only 5 km north of Primorsko. There is a parking lot, about 1.5 km from the sanctuary but you can go straight to it via a dirt road but it is not preferable.
A number of eco-paths, well marked and you cannot get lost, start there to the nearby capes and to the mouth of Ropotamo river.
And something very important - go there early in order to avoid the crowds of tourists who can make visiting this magical place not a very pleasant experience.

It was OK. It would be probably better to be in bigger company, longer walks and I would even suggest a picnic, yeah, why not..
Nothing spectacular I guess..

To the south of the river Ropotamo (in Southern Bulgaria, near the Black Sea) exist a strange agglomeration of big stones of volcanic origin with very various forms. It is a geological and archeological reservation. The forest has a path to reach the stones. After the opinion of historians from Burgas Museum of History here was approx. 3 300 years ago an important sanctuary of a Thracian tribe. The entrance fee is very low.
The site is a part of the Ropotamo reservation. On the way you can see also the sand dunes and other attractions from Ropotamo. And, of course, many beaches, hotels, restaurants in the towns and sea resorts close.

This Thracian sanctuary is very, very old. Archaeologists date this sanctuary from the 10th-6th century BC(Early Iron Age). There are a Thracian sun clock formed from huge stones. On the highest stone - Menhur is the step of The Sun God and on another stone there is step of Mother Goddress. This sanctuary is interesting and mystic place.

At the end of the Perla beach road heading north out of Primorsko we discovered this wonderful pile of rocks worked by the ancient thracians and inhabited from something like the 13th century BC to the 4th century AD. Beautiful and impressive site. 2 Lev entrance fee which includes a leaflet with brief descriptions. You can hire a guide for a more thorough tour for just 10 Lev. The area includes 2 way marked walks through the woods to lovely little secluded coves. We only did one of them, which took just over 2 hours with a paddle in the sea. A great day out if you are looking for something a bit different and unique.

You can go by car to the place, but if you are not in a hurry, leave the car and take a short walk in the woods. On eco-trails starting from Begliktash, visit the nearby natural landmarks in the reserve.

We went with a car, there is a parking right at the place.
The scene strongly reminds Stonehenge, with lots of energy in the place.
There is an eco path which leads to the sea, it takes 40minutes.
Need comfortable shoes.
