We travelled late in August from Ospeli Bridge to Old Jøl Bridge past the impressive waterfalls Videfossen and Øvstefossen. Amazing views! But the road is narrow and winding and even though only 27 km long, we didn't have enough time to go the whole way...More

I drove this Norwegian Scenic National route today and I was blown away. It used to be the old passage over the mountain to Stryn, and is open only parts of the year so make sure to check. The road is narrow but surrounded by...More

It's worth driving across here if you have a chance. The road is narrow and long, but the scenery makes it worth it. You can stop and go for a walk, or just drive through, and you can go down to the river to get...More

We started at Grotli, and I think that is probably the best direction to take this route. The farther you go to the west, the more spectacular the views. After you leave the road on the Videsæter side, you'll enter a beautiful valley. There are...More

Truly spectacular views with lots of mountains and ice. We drove frothe route from Grotli to Videsaeter. The old scenic mountain road was definitely worth taking over the new route. Recommended

I travelled along this road after finding the tourist routes on the web. The road is not paved/tarmac'd but has a solid surface, I travelled starting at the east and working my way westwards - this I felt was the best direction as the views...More

We have now gone through several of the historical roads this year. The Old Stryn Mountain road is a beautiful experience, traces of winter left, small mountain lakes with turquoise water, a narrow road stripped of green nature and adorned with stones that takes your...More
