Don 't miss to visit this Glacier. You will realise how much the climate has changed over the last decade or two. The view is awesome. The only minus is the crowds of turists. The café is overpriced compared to quality.

we took the bus right at the cruise terminal. The bus dropped us of at the beginning of the trail. The hike up to the glacier was very nice and very much worth the effort. Big recommendation!

We reach Briksdal trek starting point with a shuttle bus departing from the port booked at Olden Adventure, just to skip line. Efficient service! The Glacier and its surrounding is really worth a visit! But expect not to be alone to do it ....

Unspoiled and magical. A place I shall never forget, simply beautiful with the most down to earth people. Wear suitable clothing and footwear and be prepared for all weathers.

I was nervous about hiking up the glacier as I am not that fit anymore. However the hike was manageable and the sense of achievement reaching the top was incredible! although there were some steep parts it is undoubtedly worth it once you get to...More

Simply stunning from start to finish. The walk up to the glacier took my family about 30 mins and parts of the walk could be quiet strenuous at times, nevertheless it's not all hard going and well worth sticking with it to the top. The...More

Don't let the hike put you off, there were only a few steep sections and steps but it is well laid out for the non-hikers out there. We came from a cruise ship and got the local public bus rather than the "tourist" options, saving...More

I would suggest you to go there before it is gone. It is a nice hike up there. The water is cold and picturistic.

Glacier is really small, but if this one is the closest to you, it is still worth a visit. Driveing with cars named troles is funn. Recomend it.

Hi. There's a bus stop for the local red bus, souvenir shops and local pub are all within walking distance from where you'll disembark. If that's not the correct bus or bus stop, I'm sure the locals in the souvenir shop or... More

Further thoughts, after reading the other replies: if the local bus time table is still the same as I had read previously on Tripadvsor, it leaves at 9.50am and the return bus leaves Briksdal car park at 1pm. You can check... More
