The Aviation Museum is a little gem. I was amazed at the amount and variety of material that is on display. It is well worth the visit. (The Voodoo out front needs a little TLC but otherwise it is a fabulous spot).

We have visited the museum several times with our kids. They LOVE the little airplane simulator for kids. And considering admission is by a low recommended donation, it is a very affordable family outing that will have everyone interested. Surprised by the number of actual planes in the hangar to admire. Very cool place.

Located next to the airport and next to the hotel I stayed is this little but surprising nice museum. Visited many, many aviation museums over the years and I like the style the collection is set up here. Well maintained, good and correct information panels and a nice selection of planes, including my all time favorite, the Lockheed JetStar! Admission... More

This musuem off of the international airport exit is a hidden gem. Check the website for hours and spend a couple hours here. Admission is free but donation of $8 is suggested. Be sure to leave a donation as this musuem is volunteer run. For aviation fans this spot will delight. It's a hit with kids and can be a... More

Another of those small specialist museums that they do so well in Nova Scotia. You can't miss the Voodoo fighter bomber right by the highway at the airport exit. It's free entry and has a good little shop. A good selection of historic aviation items and aircraft are on display. Make sure you see it all as two of their... More

I had no idea this museum was as well appointed with aircraft and memorabilia! The hangar is chock full of a wide variety of airplanes of all sizes and description, from a replica of The Silver Dart to a small flight simulator and even some personal size hobby planes. It's a goldmine for any aviation "buffs" looking for a great... More

The volunteers and members of this museum have done an incredible job of getting a whole lot of aircraft into a very small space. It's like they're masters of packing. Some of the airplanes aren't exactly easy to shift around either. It's not like you can just pick them up and easily lift them over their neighbours! They've got some... More

History, plus. A space shuttle tire on display! They have all sorts and the model collection is incredible, so many and really well done. A free exhibition that you should drop into before you fly away from the beauty of Nova Scotia.
