This is one of the most beautiful places in Latvia! It’s worth the way to go there even if you’re in Latvia just for 2-3 days. A lot of magnificent exhibits and just lovely views!

Everyone compares this ducal palace to Versailles, and the similarities are striking. One thing you will find is that the crowds are much smaller. You can actually walk around and look at things without being constantly engulfed by tour groups. The groups are there, but...More

The place has been restored in an admirable way! A lot of rooms are accessible, furnished and in an almost perfect shape. There is English documentation but it would be even better with an audio-guide! The garden may benefit from more contextual information too.

You would need I think at least a couple of hours to take this whole place in. There is lots of history with so much to see, inside and out
