About
We love the simple things; making great wine and wood-fired pizzas. What started out as one couple’s dream to grow and sell grapes has turned into an inter-generational family business. Four Winds Vineyard now grows grapes, makes wine and has built a cellar door so that each weekend you can come and enjoy our wines with wood-fired pizzas. We have aimed to create a cellar door that you will find fun and welcoming. Material that was lying around the vineyard we have re-purposed to use in the building. You will see our wooden picking bins cladding the building and our wine barrels in our light fittings and tables. Just 30 minutes from Canberra, we look forward to welcoming you to Four Winds Vineyard.

We took visiting friends to try the wines at Four Winds as we had previously enjoyed a visit. We were accommodated despite not knowing we needed to book.
The tasting boards are expensive and no explanation of the wines, we were told to come back if we had any questions.
Whilst the wine was as nice as we remembered, and we were on a day out to buy wine, customer service once we were seated was non existent.
Four Winds is a lovely venue & great wine but we were disappointed this visit.

We love visiting Four Winds and go quite a lot. The wine is fantastic and the pizzas are amazing. The set up is wonderful -- reserve a table outside and just enjoy the afternoon in the sun with great food and great wine. The Team and Four Winds is so friendly and fun, they make you feel VERY welcome and like family! Can't recommend it highly enough!

This was our first cellar door in the morning so the pizzas were not available however the cellar door was open and our friendly and informative host provided us with some very good wines to sample.
The only problem was that our guide brochure gave the address as 392 Murrumbateman Road which is the address of the residence whereas the cellar door is just around the corner in Patemans Lane.

Hi Lexus51,
Thanks for the review. I am sorry that your brochure sent you to the wrong address. Are you able to tell me which brochure it was and I will make sure it is corrected in the re-print.

This delightful vineyard and winery about half an hours drive from Canberra has found the recipe for success. That is, if your definition of success is creating a welcoming, low key and casual environment for wine tasting and/ or lunch. We dropped in for lunch on a Saturday and sat at tables on the grass outside with the other happy customers. It’s simple, just choose a pizza from the list of three with an extra monthly special, buy wine by the bottle or the glass ( at winery prices) or beer, cider or soft drink, settle back and watch as the pizzas go into the wood fired oven. It’s as simple as that. The pizzas were delicious and our Sangiovese excellent. It was a great way to spend an almost spring day outdoors. My elderly father is in a wheelchair and apart from a little ‘cross country’ to sit in the sunshine, it’s all very accessible.

Great food with wood fired pizza's, that are really welled cooked, a good selection of their own wines as well as local cider and beer on tap. There are also soft drinks for those that do not drink.
Each Pizza is $15 each but if you are hungry the $20 all you can eat is the the go for you.
I have held a work function there for a large number of people and we were able to hire a local band and set up under their excellent shade sail. It is a pretty low stress way to hold a function and is very kid friendly. We took a heaps of kids games which went down well.
Never had a bad day there.

Had a wonderful afternoon at Four winds. Their wine flight is delicious and a great introduction to their wines and the wood fired pizzas are great. The endless views from the cellar door are beautiful and the service was excellent (particularly from my server Mattus who was knowledgable, attentive and went above and beyond to make us welcome!). Can’t wait to return

Good wines but $18 each to taste 2 reds and 2 whites is way too overpriced for what you get. Most expensive tasting ever.

Enjoyed a lazy afternoon of cheese cake and rose at Four Winds during Moving Feast on the October long weekend. It was a pleasant experience and a great way to spend an hour or so. The food and wine were superb, and the service was very good. A local singer on guitar provided good background entertainment. All the patrons looked like they were having a good time. Must return to try the pizzas.

Four Winds has amazing wines, delicious wood fire pizzas and wonderful service. Met at the door by Michael which was nice and shown to our nice quiet table. Excellent service throughout and Michael saw us out and was in control of the dining area the whole afternoon. Thanks for a great day. Gerry Musgrove

Can i bring my dog and sit outside?

Hi Chadbozo,
Thats a fantastic question. And yes of course you are able to bring your dog and sit outside. The only thing we would require, is if your dog could stay on a lead, and if you are able to clean after it.
Other than that we look forward to seeing you both!
Cheers,
Lauren
