About
Blackwattle Alpaca Farm is located only 25 minutes from Canberra, making it an ideal location for a day trip with your family or friends. Surrounded by wineries with views of the Brindabella Ranges, our farm offers picturesque views and is in an unique location to learn about alpacas, their luxury fibre and beautiful products they can produce. As we are a working alpaca farm, we can offer visitors an insight into farming alpacas in Australia. Have you ever wanted to pat or cuddle an alpaca or llama? Get up close and personal with our trained alpacas and llamas for a pat or cuddle, before taking some selfies with our animals. Entry to the Farm Shop is free. For interactions with our animals, we offer a range of private tours, starting from the Interactive Tour at $130 for up to four people for 45 minutes and the Alpaca Walking Tour for $230 for 1.5 hours for up to four people.

We came for a farm tour this week. It was a beautiful place to visit, very welcoming hosts and beautiful animals. The Alpacas arms llamas are delightful and will just make your day. If you're into yarn you won't be disappointed, there is a shop with an amazing range of fibre and colours, just beautiful. Great place to visit if you're in the area and make sure you book in for a tour!

Did the Alpaca picnic with my partner and a friend. Our host for the walk was Georgia, who was great, very friendly and helpful taking photos of us with the alpacas and llama. Amazing experience with the an1imals, very hands-on with the animals who were very placid, friendly and photo genic.
The picnic afterwards was a pleasant experience just sitting, relaxing and watching the animals.

A wonderful place to visit. Did the farm tour which was very informative and the animals were just delightful, especially the little babies. The owner did the tour and it was obvious how much she cares for the animals, which was great to see. All the staff were very friendly and excellent cake and coffee for morning tea. Well worth a visit.
