Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice walk to get there, with a nice view over the sea. You can easily park down there and start your trek closer to the sea level. The area we walk to get to the waterfall is between two "cliffs" and it is quite a pleasant place to walk in. The waterfall at that time (November) did not have a lot of water but it was still worth a go. I really enjoyed the unique and quiet atmosphere over there. There is there also the starting point to access another trek (about 2 km long, to see a kind of natural blue pool), but I did not do it.

One more amazing spot in São Miguel island... north cost, near Nordeste.

Perfect to have a walk, make the trail, or even just enjoy a meal on grill in front of the sea, and waterfall on your back;) to choose what you want to look ;)

Enjoy there

Waterfall that can be seen from various points and angles of view: at its foot it forms a pool that makes it possible to take a bath.

It was a bit disappointing.
We turned off the road.
You reach a viewpoint from where you can see the waterfall, the problem is that it hardly had any water.
From the viewpoint you can go down to the foot of the waterfall, with tables and gardens and you can take a route. We started to go down, but we lost the desire because it was very steep, paved road and it didn't seem like it was going to help us much.
I'm sure that at another time it is more interesting.

I went with my friend Laura in March 2023
The waterfall was one of the most beautiful I saw in Saõ Miguel. A marvel of landscapes, on one side the sea and on the other side a path that led to the waterfall.
A mystical vibration was felt in the atmosphere of the place.
The waterfall emanated a very strong and welcoming source of energy.
That place was magical in itself.
Although I have to admit that when night began to fall we had a strange feeling, as if the waterfall was warning us to leave that something was going to happen. We paid attention and left. Today it makes our hair stand on end a little thinking about it.
Even so, I highly recommend it, a very energetic and mystical place, I would return without thinking about it.
