I absolutely adore the Rex. The seats and leg room is exceptional in comparison to most modern cinemas. It shows current films and has a really warm feel about it. Suitable for absolutly all ages

Went to see a film with out 15 year old daughter. Absolutely beautiful venue. Staff are friendly and efficient. Snacks and tickets are much cheaper than big chain cinemas . Absolutely love this place.

Great place but you've got to be right on it to get the tickets you want which is a bit of a pain if you have to organise sitters etc for the kids. It sells out dead quick and no online booking facilities. Beautiful building and quirky random intro were the highlights but we had back row seats and they... More

What a truly fabulous cinema, beautifully restored in Art Deco style. It's like stepping back in time to a more gentle and stylish period. You can sit in very comfortable seats ( set of 4) round a little candle lit table with your coffee or glass of wine to enjoy the film or there are also the usual comfy seats.... More

If you're going to watch a film this is the best place to see it. Large comfy chairs. Nice interior. Good value for money!

We have lived locally for many years and for some reason, this was our first ever visit - BIG mistake ! The Rex is undoubtedly the best cinema experience we have ever enjoyed anywhere in the world. Fabulous old cinema, friendly staff, great value for money and the most comfortable swivel chairs with our own private table in front of... More

Watch your film in big comfy chairs, sitting around quaint table clothed tables, drinking your favourite wine. Art Deco all around and such a different experience. A real treat and SO different!

It is our occasional treat to visit the Rex. It takes 45 minutes' drive from north London but it is certainly worth it. The beautiful art deco with blood red velvet, the comfy seats and a table to have your drink at, the friendly staff... all make this cinema very special.

We try to go regularly to enjoy our local cinema & it never disappoints. Recently we have seen some really brilliant films. Untouchable - a 2011 film that thy show occasionally, because it really is the best film I think I have ever seen; Anthropoid - brilliant; Captain Fantastic - very good & Bridget Jones - the best of that...
