The Rex has one huge screen set in a glorious 1938 art-deco proscenium with the sharpest film projection and clearest non-booming sound anywhere in the world. Throughout, its seating is big and soft. It has been called luxurious. It is better. It is civilized. It reminds us of what we have long stopped expecting from public buildings.

Brilliant evening Comfy big chairs Great coffee Wine and cheese - fab Watch for parking - not that much close by If it's a popular movie then, unless you've booked as a member, you're at the mercy of the raffle! Good luck

Went here with friends! It's great for something different to do. There's tables to sit on and comfy chairs with a fab little bar to order drinks and snacks from whilst you watch your film. Felt like a proper old style cinema m. Would recommend!

We love this cinema so much. Great choice of films, the plushest of surroundings, spacious, most comfortable seating - snacks and drinks brought to you as the film is about to begin, the owner introducing the film beforehand - what's not to like?

We're very lucky to have this place on our doorstep. It's a reason to move to Berkhamsted - truly fantastic

I really don't think I'll go to a 'standard' cinema after visiting The Rex, not only do they show a good selection of curated films month on month but the atmosphere, comfort and service is perfect. Definitely recommend the Royal Box too if you can!

Just have to keep trying, there are 3 persons at the box office, usually having to sell on door, print tickets for those collecting, take calls and general enquiries......so be patient

We park at the other end of Berkhampsted in the car park next to Waitrose. Then walk up through the High Street. Always found a space and charges are reasonable.
