It was a bit cold to swim in April, but these tide pools are incredible. This is a popular diving spot, where you can find crystal clear tide pools and incredible thriving mini-ecosystems. Worth going to see at least once!

Be sure to follow the brown signs with binoculars to find 4 Ribeiras. It is easy to miss. Absolutely beautiful area, you need to walk down some stairs, but it is worth with it. All the pools and crossovers are amazing. We haven't been there...More

I love the he ocean water, the salty taste it leaves on my lips, the salty smell on my skin. Its natural, its pure. It brings good health, its a great place for swimming.

The small village of Quatro Ribeiras at the Northern Coast of Terceira has what truly can be called a hidden gem. And it is hidden, indeed. There is only a small sign on the country road that points to this “area balnear”, and when you...More

We were there when it was too cold to get in but it was really great place and would be awesome in the summer. I did get some really nice long exposure shots of the waves crashing in.

There are several pools here which are all fed by seawater coming in from the sea. Some are natural while others do have some concrete walls and steps to help anyone considering a dip. Not for me but several people did have a swim while...More

The railings are now down put the views are still great. The pools still are clear enough for seeing the small fish. You can get wet if you are not careful.

This is a lovely swimming place, I mean the natural ocean pools (not the man-made pool, where water was a bit dirty), there are several 'semi-private' places for you to sit and take sun and go down to the ocean to swim. During one of...More

Didn't get to actually go swimming as the weather was to cold, but it looks like it would be a great place to go in the summer. The water is so blue and they have concrete steps that go into the water. These were made...More
