Budget Travel Tip: Spend the day at the public pool/beach complex then watch the sun set here.
Ribeira Grande has a beautiful FREE municipal pool/beach facility. We spent the afternoon there, then walked a block down the street to this pavillion, where we watched the sun set.

Beautiful viewpoint
One of the things this island does well is to provide beautiful overlooks on scenic places and wonderful picnic spots all over the island. This was our first scenic viewpoint on our trip and it was well worth the stop to see the coastline

QUIET MAJESTY....
DEFINITELY worth a visit! The coastline of San Miguel is littered with STUNNING views....and this was/is just one of them! Stand, stare, enjoy and move on....the better for absorbing nature at its best....
