Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a beautiful place and so quiet. Many visitors to the Great Ocean Road stop at Port Campbell so don’t travel this far. They don’t know what they are missing. This is so unspoilt. You can get onto the beach which you will probably have all to yourself. Well worth a visit.

Sure there are the blockbuster sights of the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard gorge but this cove is just as worthy to be on the tourist hot spot. Only. A 10 minute drive from Allansford near Warrnambool, this cove is easy to get to and has adequate parking. Really amazing views and as it is not as well known, the crowds are far less. We had the whole place to ourselves and it was just perfect. Check out the photos on Google to show you what to expect but definitely put this location on your things to see.

An amazing little cove off the beaten track with toilet facilities!! We weren’t planning to stop here but so pleased that we did. May be suitable for a swim if the wind isn’t bad, otherwise the waves look amazing for a surf!!

Like the rest of this stretch of coastline it is both beautiful and dangerous. Swimming is not advised but I think you’d be pretty safe to paddle. The waves can come right up the base of the steps so be careful of being cut off. Gorgeous colour to the cliffs - they have a real orange hue that contrasts beautifully with the water. There is access to three bays from this car park area each with beautiful views and a few stone stacks but Childer’s was my favourite.

A great day trip from Terang to have morning tea, but stayed a lot longer to have lunch
A little windy but rugged up and well worth the trip. Will definitely be going back again, when we get out of the Covid Lock down

Located in a hidden corner and not on the actual Great Ocean Road this amazing spot is often overlooked by tourists. Shame because it’s one of the best spots on the coast. Easy walk down the stairs to an amazing beach with huge rocky features surrounding it

With the sun rays from the east, you get the best pictures in the morning at this secluded cove. No tourists, just you & the beach.
Actually, there are 2 coves within walking distance...pick your favorite!

A little off the beaten track and you need to watch the waves and tides because it isn't patrolled but it is a beautiful beach that doesn't get crowded. Well worth the extra drive.

Turn off easily visible on the Great Ocean Road but then need to take the service road not as well signed. Lots of sticky flies so keep your mouth closed! Beautiful cove with strong current. Felt like we were in Hanauma Bay in Hawaii just with a rougher surf. Great secluded beach with a number of steps to get down to beach level.

This place is the perfect location for travellers who want to get away from the crowds along the ocean road! We were in the Cove with 2 other families! That’s it! Beautiful location - there are steps so prams aren’t appropriate!
