About
CherryHill Orchards is Victoria’s largest and most well-rated cherry-picking orchard. For many , a favourite summer tradition is to pack a picnic, soak in the views of the Yarra Ranges, and enjoy picking from more than 30 varieties of the best-tasting cherries straight from the tree. In addition to cherry-picking, visit the on-site café and farmgate stores at both the Wandin East and Coldstream orchards throughout the cherry season. Purchase premium fresh boxed cherries, try the 'must-have' cherry ice cream or enjoy tasting a beverage in the scenic surrounds of the Yarra Valley. Cherry-picking runs annually from mid-November to early January. Event dates vary based on weather and crop conditions; please visit the website for the most up-to-date information. Bookings are essential.

I don’t know why there is a cost for the entrance fee. What are you paying for? There is nothing there but an ice cream shop (you have to pay extra for that) and picnic tables. No cherries come with the entrance fee, those are extra, paid for by the kilo. So why pay the entrance fee, you get nothing for it. May as well go to a u-pick without a fee.

We entered expecting food trucks as advertised but they are only on weekends. That’s false advertising. We went a couple of years ago too when they gave a bottle of cherry drink on entry but not this time. There was no atmosphere, unfortunately it was just a very very touristy attraction where you feel hearded with the masses.

The day we went there they ran shuttle buses to the orchard. You can only book in for a certain time slot and we wasted 30mins of that time sitting around waiting for the shuttle bus.

I don’t think it’s value for money as you can go to other u pick places and not pay an entrance fee.

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback. The cost for admission allows you to eat and enjoy as many cherries as you would like during your two-hour picking session, any cherries that you would like to take home are charged per kilo. The entry fee also covers operating costs such as customer facilities, shuttle buses to safely transport you around the orchard, staff costs to maintain the orchard and to grow our delicious cherries. We’re sorry to hear that there was no food vendor on site during your visit, there were some occasions last season where food trucks that we had booked to attend were unavailable and we were unable to replace them at short notice. The two-hour cherry-picking session is your allocated time for cherry-picking in the orchard. Guests are welcome to stay after cherry-picking to enjoy our picnic area, garden games and onsite facilities for as long as you wish. Whilst we appreciate your comments, we are unaware of any U-pick cherry orchards that don’t require an entrance fee and we believe that our pricing is fair. Regards, The team at CherryHill Orchards

I enjoyed spending time with my friend and it was a beautiful backdrop.

The light show was underwhelming. Perhaps my expectations were set high but it was a set up of spotlights (that hit your eyes as you walked the path) spotlights under the cherry tree; with one changing light feature on the entrance tree and a spiral feature on the two large trees. More of this light exhibition is what I expected to see.

Food trucks were only three stations and the pizza was an hour wait one hour after opening. All in all, there is a lot to progress to add value for a $47 entry ticket.

Over rated and expensive. It started raining when we went and it was a horrible experience. They had little to no shelter to stay under whilst the rain passed. The food trucks and the tables to sit on were not under cover. Tables were drenched and the retail shop was full. The trees were small and don't match the advertised pictures. I ended up getting a cold. All the money that they make and they are too cheap to get tents. Very inconsiderate.

I love this place! Visit twice during cherry season .. expensive admission fee but once you see the infrastructure you realise why it costs . Cherries are delicious - good season and so much fun eating and picking along the rows .

My visitor and I had a most wonderful morning at the Cherryhill farm in Coldstream.
There is a big carpark which made parking a breeze. All tickets have to be purchased on line. We checked in and then hopped on a bus for a short ride to the cherry trees. Our guide gave us a quick welcome telling us where we can pick the cherries and off we went. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. There were heaps of cherries on the trees. We sat around the trees and ate lots of cherries. After 2 hours, we got our harvest weighed and we were driven back to the base. We checked out the cherry store and bought some lovely cherry drinks which were so refreshing. The staff are from many different countries and we got to chat to some of them. They are so warm and friendly.
What a fabulous place to visit. I will be bringing all my visitors to Cherryhill!!

Not your typical fruit picking farm. The staff customer service was excellent. Everyone was just so smiley and helpful. I especially loved their delicious cherry ice-cream while sitting on the lawn to enjoy the views of the Yarra Valley. We bought home 2 full bags of fresh dark cherries!

Absolutely loved our visit to Cherry Hill Orchards for the Blossom Festival! The blossoms were breathtaking, and the service was top-notch. We enjoyed delicious vegan food and cocktails, all while relaxing to live music. It was great to see families, kids, and plenty of dogs having a wonderful time together. We also appreciated the option to purchase cherry trees and lovely organic soaps and candles. Overall, it was a beautiful and relaxing experience—perfect for a family day out. Highly recommend visiting!

It was supposed to be a fun outdoor outing for my family. However, when we arrived at Cherryhill, we experienced bad counter service
Firstly, the staff forced us to park at another place when there are lots of empty parking slot.
Secondly, the staffs gave unclear instruction and make me run around like a fool
Thirdly, they doesn't seems to know there is a promotional on entrance fee from 08 dec to 12 dec and forced me to run all the way back to my car and get my iPad to prove to them
Lastly, they are too arrogant and doesn't seems apologetic.

There are lots of cherry farms in melbourne and they have to take extra note on their service and attitude.

We went there yesterday's morning, absolutely disappointed and annoying .There was two workers going up and down watching all the cherry pickers as if we were slaves workers or prisoners working under their supervision. We paid 30 dollars for just entering their farm and paid 10 dollars a kg of cherry we picked we looked for a fun day out not upset and annoying.

We stopped in just to buy cherries today rather than pick them (have picked before). Parking is free and it is a beautiful setting. Unfortunately this place is pricey! To pick cherries it would have cost our family of 2 Adults & 2 Children $30 this is just go picking you then have to pay per kilo for the cherries. Today we purchased an 850 gram tub of cherries for $12.50, they looked good but we realised upon getting to the car they were soft and disgusting. What a waste of money and a complete disappointment. We will not be back and will not be recommending this place. We travelled not far to Yarra Farm Fresh (you can buy but not pick) & bought far superior cherries for a better price. They were delicious! Here you got to try before you buy unlike CherryHill where the greeter recommended the cherries to us but we didnt get to try them and got ripped off.
