I visited today with my sister and nephew for my birthday and we all had a great day! The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable and give great talks about the animals. There is either a talk or a feed going on around every 15minutes...More

As its title states, it is more of a conservation centre than a zoo, and we were very impressed by the friendliness, enthusiasm and knowledge of the staff, and the obvious cooperation and links with other establishments to ensure that animals can survive and, where...More

Just back from a day out at this beautiful zoo. Friendly staff, animals well cared for and loads of interacting which you don’t get at the bigger zoos. Would highly recommend for families with young children and anyone else that like me just loves animals.

Having been to the centre from the very beginning and seeing how far it has come since then is a massive achievement for the company and its staff. HCC looks to promote conservation where it can and takes pride in the fact that they have...More

I can not understand these people who have given poor reviews. All I can say is that they clearly weren't willing to give the centre the time it needs, animals don't perform to demand which is why HCC have things going on all day. This...More

We went today with our 2 young children. It is incredibly small and unappealing. Basically some wood and pallets tacked onto the side of a small garden centre. We walked in and when we saw there was not much past the entrance we asked for...More

On bank holiday Monday we wanted to do something different and didn’t fancy sitting in traffic for a few hours by the coast. Very slick website that led us to believe we would have a wildlife experience to remember. The fact that the tickets were...More

It is pretty flat but some of the indoor exhibits are pretty small, however the staff are very good and will help out to make sure your visit will include the chance to see everything
