Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Merbein Lookout and walk behind the winery had views of the Murray River as good as it gets. Unlike Red Cliffs to the south this was well presented and this beautiful place was something to be admired. Mildura and the river has so much potential and this area went part way to getting its true potential presented well.

There are not many places in this seemingly flat land where you can get a good view, but this is the highest point in the district and the view is as good as you can get. There’s a view across the Murray to New South Wales and the red Cliff’s of the Victorian side. The walking track winds along the river and is punctuated by native plants dedicated to the original settlers of the area. Fascinating to read the number of their block and their role, station, in their community. I love how even small towns record and celebrate their combined history.

You can get some great views of the Murrey River from atop the cliffs and there are also some pleasant walking tracks above the river from this point in Merbein.

Nice views from the highest point in the area. Old viewpoint now fenced off but keep walking to a new viewpoint about 100m along the track.

Worth the few minutes extra drive to stop and take a look at the river from another angle. Great photo opportunities

Excellent view of the Murray river on the outskirts of the town. Just above White Cliffs or Chaffey's landing. Worth a stop for a photo opportunity. You can walk to the river as well.
