We went on an island tour with Explore Andros (Christos) and one of the highlights was the beautiful renovated Agia Irini Monastery.
Beautiful little church, wonderful exhibitions on Writing, Geology, Flora with clear explanation of the guide at the monastery (sorry I forgot the name).
Besides this the view from the monastery to the surroundings was absolutely breathtaking.

We went on a full day tour with Explore Andros, and one of our main highlights was a visit to the Monastery of Agias Irinis. It is absolutely beautiful here and so serene. We were given a private tour of both the chapel and some unique, small museums there. We also had the privilege of meeting Mr. Polemis, a former ship captain who funded the restoration project of the monastery and preserved the sacred temple. Mr. Polemis also offers summer camps at the monastery for orphans from around the world. He, and his staff, are truly special and generous human beings. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!!

We highly recommend a visit to this sacred monastery.
