I booked this tour off of Clay Villa Plantation's website after reading the positive reviews on TripAdvisor from past guests. This tour is just as advertised on their website;nothing more, nothing less. If you enjoy local island history, a well-cared for centuries old plantation home tastefully decorated with local Caribe artifacts, beautifully maintained botanical gardens and rescued exotic island animals,... The plantation home was nice. It would have been nice to see the plantation grounds itself- The walk was enjoyable- good to do on a warm sunny day.

This was part of our St. Kitts Adventure. The owner of the plantation gave an introductory tour for us. He is married to a lady who can trace the ownership in her family back seven generations. The most amazing part of the history of the sugar plantation that dates back to 1763 is that it was an anti-slavery sugar plantation.... More

We visited Clay Villa as part of an excursion from RCCl ship. This was an unique experience, seeing beautiful sculptures, antiques and woven items in the home, beautiful not expected at all. Then the animals that had been rescued and are living on the grounds amazing. Learning about the history of the home was fascinating. Should be in St. Kills... More

Took the Excursion from a Cruise I was on 1/23/2017. It was very amazing to see a sugar cane plantation that is over 300 yrs old. The Tour guide was very funny and very English. The Plantation is helping out animals on the Island such as bird, monkey's and some turtles. Very informative on the history of the family who... More

My sister and I toured the house and gardens as well as enjoyed a tour of St. Kitts with their wonderful guide, Jermaine. Phillip, the owner was very gracious and entertaining and the grounds are gorgeous. Our best excursion of the week. I suggest you book with them directly.

This was one of the best tours that we did on our cruise. The owner of the property did the tour. He was funny and very informative. The grounds were beautiful and the buildings were full of great antiques and precious objects. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the owner after the tour and had a glass of rum punch with... More

We visited Clay Villa as part of a tour of the island. We arrived from Nevis and were picked up at the dock by Elwood Benjamin - an excellent guide who provided a lot of fascinating information about the island. Our guide at the Plantation house was Phillip - a British ex-sailor. There were only 5 of us in the... More

On a recent cruise we booked this tour through Philip, the owner and host. Instead of the crowded busses from the cruise ship organized tours, we were picked up at the port by a local guide, Elwood Benjamin, in a minibus. Elwood was very nice and very informative about the history and culture of St. Kitts. After a driving tour... More

Booked this wonderful island tour on the recommendation of our friends who had previously been on it. It didn't disappoint and was one of the best things we booked on the entire cruise. The Clay House has a very rich and interesting history that goes back to when sugar was king in the Caribbean centuries ago. The tour includes the... More
