Wow, what a beautiful dam. It’s amazing to think how this structure was constructed.
Free to see. Easy to park at. The roads getting to it were tricky in parts.

Coming from England it is only a dam and we’ve seen enough of them. But to the local Cypriots his major item. This is the first year in the last seven years that the dam has over flowed. Many Cypriots have never seen this so it is a major attraction at this time. The views are nice, on a hot day it is slightly cooler as it is a little in land and there are now food traders at the car park, worth a visit.

Really enjoyed this visit to the Dam, with fabulous views - I was intrigued about the ghost/abandoned village (which had been flooded) but unfortunately I couldn't see it - worth taking binoculars next time!

Lovely countryside-like scenery, greenery, tranquility, breathtaking views when coming down from Choletria driving towards the ancient establishment of Finikas. Be aware yo may find a herd of goats or two on you way which may beautifully delay the trip for a few minutes
